that and having caps lock on and typing with out periods and commas is what i am talking about for people to get banned.

this site gets alot of poop because there are individulas like cody or coasterkrazy on this site, spamming little boys who cant type and are idiots. that is why i suggested the ban thing in the first place, to raise the IQ of wws.com to something respectable.

You can get spell checkers in the Google Toolbar and another tool bar I cant remember right now...they are free and somewhat intrusive.

Plus if you use Internet Explorer there is a program called IESpell and another one for Firefox users that is built into it after you install it.

Thats the problem though. You guys aren't making a "few" mistakes. Over the last month I have been reading posts that run-on for multiple lines that could easily be formatted into 3 or 4 reasonable sentences. This make your posts look less creditable and make absolutely no sence. Im starting to actually get sick and tired of reading these types of posts. I understand spelling mistakes here and there, but some of this is getting rediculous. I side with Ragan and others with this issue. It does make us look bad. What would another site owner think when he/she visits the site and sees how childish people act here? They don't want to link to the site and mention it now do they? Cmon guys, like other have said, take the time to type in a readable and understandable manner. It makes the site look and function a great amount better.

Do we need any more examples of improper spelling, capitalization, grammar skills, and a general inability to not be able to communicate? I mean, even when he means not to do it, he still does.
Bottom line: Get over it whiners ... if your mind cannot translate it, skip reading it.

Forum-
3 a : a public meeting or lecture involving audience discussion; b : a program (as on radio or television) involving discussion of a problem usually by several authorities

A forum is not a place to WRITE your thoughts, it is to EXPRESS them. Means of punctuation, logically, are useless. In means of miscommunication, that is the fault of the person posting in which he or she should then correct the statement if asked.

So if people are so busy do you think it would save them time to leave out a few characters when, in reality, typing the full sentence would only take maybe 5 seconds longer? If people are so busy, they shouldn't spend their precious time on a coaster forum.

[lol] People are complaining about this? Why?

Does it really matter? As long as what a person has written is understandable, I can't see there being a problem with writing using slang or bad grammar and spelling. If someone does constantly post with bad grammar, spelling and use of slang, then people begin to form an opinion of them, an opinion that they are probably a little dim, which is then surely their problem and if they didn't want people to view them as such, then it is up to them to type correctly. They are the ones effected adversely, as people begin to take less notice of their posts and give less time to their opinions, so I don't see why anyone is complaining about other people using bad grammar etc... when it has no effect on them at all.

One issue with what gouldy said; "teh"

It's "the", dammit. I don't claim to use pefect grammar, i type the same on here as i do on msn i.e. no capital letters except at the start of sentences, but elementary mistakes drive me crazy. It's not even like they're gaining time by losing letters. Sorry, silly OCD moment over.
