Now that Jim's broken the rules to give one person extra time, why wouldn't he give e-man his pick? Or even the random people who picked like a day late? Where's the cutoff, if it's not where it's supposed to be, and that's 24 hours.

IMO RRollergod should lose his pick, and i should have lost mine the last years draft, but that was only 4 minutes [;)]

I think I should get my pick, after all I wasnever even notified it was my turn until 5pm yesterday, and I hadn't checked until now. Personally I think that we should have more concrete rules and more reliable administration of the coasterdraft. The way it is now noone knows its there turn, and th9is leads to mass confusion. I'll leave it up to Jim to determine if I get my pick or not, if not I guess thats fine but I really wish we could make the draft more organized to avoid any arguments and whatnot.

The only way to keep it organized is by enforcing the rule to everyone. And thats 24 hours.

I agree with the whole organization thing, but I also think that if you're over the time, then you're over the time and you don't get the pick. Saying that you weren't notified puts blame on other people, when you can follow the draft just in the same way that they are doing.

With that said, next time I agree that they should have some kind of system where the next person's turn doesn't start until it's been announced by someone that it's their turn. That might work out better.

or we can use the date system, not 24 hours after someone picks, just a day like

25 feb - hyyyper
26 feb - Pad
27 feb - Canadmos (FN)
28 feb - coolbeans326
29 feb - Dirk_Ermen

would be much better IMO and there no AM/PM bullcrap

well than, that has flaws as well, lets say i pick right now, youll have till the end of the 27th to pick. if i picked at one am, you would of had 47 hours to pick, and some people might get 25 hours to pick. you are the only person on this site that doesnt realize that 11am (the 26) +24 hours = 11am (the 27th) we shouldnt have to bend over and make it more complictaed bceause you cant understand time.

so what you are saying is, that each person has the WHOLE day to pick. problem with that is hyyyper, is that the draft will literally take 200 days, rounds will take 3 full weeks. that aint realistic.

Sorry e-man, but you don't get your pick... No matter what jim decides about the delay thing. Space Mountain @ Paris has been picked in round 7 already by Dj Tommy, who is out now, but you still can't get it. Also, while the space mountain has indeed a nice tension and theming, be sure not to lose a hell lot off the ride feeling... having ridden it, I know it's a really rough ride.

About the system: I think it would work well if everybody just checked the draft once in 24 hours, and even if no one writes like "userx has until --- to pick", find out if it's their turn or not. The date system is not possible because of the lenght reason ragan mentioned.

You really can't satisfy everyone with this thing can you? If I let RRollergod get his pick, someone bitches over it. If I hold him back, someone is anal over it. Its a friggin forum game with no prize.

Get over it!

i say the rules should go like this...

If you are like 1-5min late you should only get it only if the person after you hasn't taken there turn yet.

I'll take Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park - http://www.rcdb.com/id243.htm
Known as the oldest operating roller coaster (built in 1902), Leap the Dips may not be the most thrilling coaster by any means, but its historical prominence makes it a great ride to have at any park.

I'll take Mega Zeph at Six Flags New Orleans. Here are some comments from themeparkcritic.com describing this 110 foot tall, 4000 foot long wooden airtime machine...

(MovieCoast)"The ride is long, fast, rough, and full of air, with a great combination of steep drops and laterals. The first drop is amazing, and sitting in the front seat it's kinda creepy as the lift slow to almost a complete stop before the ride plummets. The drop containing the on-ride photo is wonderful long and step, and it's the best drop on the ride. The turn over Jazz Lake is insanely full on laterals, and the return trip is great with all the hills, but watch out for the break on the double-up! The ending helix is a perfect finale to an amazing coaster that ranks as the second best woodie I've ridden!"

(Cameraman)"Even as it turns 3 years old it has not let up at all. This coaster has some great elements in it such as a swooping turnaround over the lake and a powerful double up that creates some extreme ejection airtime."

For my 11th pick I choose Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood.
Tennessee Tornado was one of the last coasters that Arrow built before going under and it is often refered to as one of their best rides.

The ride features a 128 foot drop through a tunnel into a massive loop and constantly interacts with the terrain.

Well there goes my next round pick - good choice, best ride in the Europa Park. Even if it only pulls 3.5 g's actually, they're still pretty strong.
