In my Opinion theres a difference between roughness and jerking.
-Roughness would be...say a wooden coaster, or a shuffling coaster, or a vibrating coaster. But not something that just has bad track, but bad train/track connection and train hold up.
-Jerkyness is the track having sudden jolts and poor designing like many arrows or Vekomas are. So I wouldnt say Viper at SFMM is the roughest coaster out there like many of you are saying, it actually has a smooth ride on the non turning parts.

Anyways, for me
Wood
-Smoothest: Roar
-Roughest: Psyclone
Steel
-Smoothest: Jokers Jinx
-Roughest: X

Hmmm, i think I'll break this up into a couple categories:
Rough but still enjoyable: Loch Ness Monster - BGW

Rough, but not enjoyable at all: Hurler and Shockwave - PKD

Smooth: Apollo's Chariot

Dragster doesnt vibrate and neither did Storm Runner. However, both are fairly new in coaster years. (What are coaster years? I dont even know)

Steel:
-Smoothest: Expedition Ge Force or Goliath
-Roughest: Goudurix
Wooden:
-Smoothest: Colossos
-Roughest: Tonn?????????re de Zeus (very uncomfortable at the back row!)

Speaking of "Jerkyness" the best example I could find would be Eurosat ????????? Europa Park, this thing is really smooth but it has mad mouse's flat curves and a total lack of heartlining!! Moreover the final brakes are awfull, something like 50km/h to 0km/h in 1second [xx(]

I'm updating my post!

My friend convinced me to go on Shockwave while at PKD a couple weekends ago, and I pushed my head back extremely hard on the headrest, and actualy enjoyed my ride. The first drop was fun, as was the loop, the the ejector air over the first hill, and then two more ejectors. Was actually pretty fun.

New roughest: Anaconda. There was jerkyness, and roughness, even with my head back hard, it hurt. The hangtime on the corkscrews was awesome though. Definetly the best part of the ride.
