Anyone who owns a hummer and seriously thinks they look good in it, can suck on my penis and then subsequently suck on the penis of every other living male, before having their teeth kicked in personally by me.

[lol] ... just freakin [lol]
Hummers were designed as troop movement vehicles by the military ... the fact that someone would really want to drive one as their personal car -- well, I guess you need to climb into bed with someone who proudly drives one. [stupid]

gouldy YOU RULE... but watch the language.........
if there ever was a vehicle that screamed out to the worlD "AMERICANS ARE MEAT HEADED BOORISH SELFISH INSECURE AND JINGOISTIC BASTARDS AND OUR BIG MEN HAVE TINY WIENERS" this would be it, i won't even apologize for saying that. of course that's not true, we aren't all like this, BUT many of us who aren't don't get the same representation...

I'd like to see a Bowler Wildcat and one of those punk Hummers face off. Goodbye Hummer. The H1 was theri only okayish one, the H2 and H3 are gas eating pieces of junk.

Yea, as TConwell said, the humvee is a millitari vehicle that comes
in all sorts of flavors wich does make it an altumate machine. From one chassis you creat anything from the standerd humvee with turret to extended flat-beds than can cary troops or tripod rpg's. The stack on the right side of the hood is it's air intake, giving it a water foreging depth of 5 feet. Completley renforced and with all of its little features, it is a bad ass car. You don't talk s**t about the SR-71, you don't talk s**t about a Humvee.[:(!]
As a civilian vehicle, the only one that isn't a complete joke is the H1. Of that, mainly one with an 'Alpha' tag is the most desireable. If you are a true off-roader, depending on your general terrane, either an H1-Alpha or a jeep wrangler is your car of choice(hummers don't fare to well in tightly packed woods). With 500hp this thing is the real deal, even for bouldering, the thing is practically a roll-bar. So watch what you say about a Hummer. As for the GM H2 and H3, f**k them.[:p]

The Hummer is the symbol for the American military machine just like the jeep was back in WW2. There are several combinations of Humvees for the miltary all of which can take a beating. Besides cars and trucks is such a subjective topic

You can say people who drive huge vehicles are compesating for something
You can say people who drive low riders can't get it up

why argue?

as a former member of our armed forces i will point out that as a utility vehichle it has not been surpassed for what it can do, but that's what they're for .. but truly a very good peice of military equipment...... and i guess it would make a nice off road vehichle, but living here in southern california i can say with no reservation that for the most part it's a compensation device...

As a current member of our Armed Forces, there is nothing like taking a ride in one with a 60 cal on the roof being unloaded. Now THAT is a scrotum rumbling experience.

Since when did the Army adopt the 60 cal? I just thought they had the 50cal verisons. Ever fired a 40mm nade launchers on the top of a Hummvee or those just for Special situations?

tj... you just got "owned " as they say in jr. high... i know that what you meant was either an m-60.. (basically a heavy duty rapid fire , long burst, tripod or otherwise, mounted machine gun which fires the same exact round as the m-14 , a 7.62 mm round............ or you did mean 50 cal, which has been a standard in our military since shortly after ww2.
i beleive that you have ridden in one of these in some sort of exercise, while the machine gun was unloading, but i'm not sure where, or how, as you have pointed out in the past that your mos is administrative.... but the reason i believe you is that from personal experience in desert storm i remember that the air force ran all of my air travell, save that in navy helicopters, and did almost ALL of the medivac, and does indeed have the same equipment as the other armed forces..... i just think that you may have gotten the numbers wrong...

i got to fire a mk 79 grenade launcher, it's basically a shoulder fired version. 40mm grenades look like a oversized fat typical bullet... the launcher has little kick, but it's fun to watch the shell blow up... i was in weapons department in the navy, we had to get rid of a bunch of ammunition one day...... i 've fired just about everything we got when it comes to small arms.

No ownage J -- typo. It happens to the best of us ... especially when you travel two to three weeks out of four PER MONTH ensuring kiddies can feel safe in this nation. Anyway, my AFSC (aka MOS) is Network Admin now ... but was not always. You mentioned medivac, were you Army? If so, where were you squatting at in the sandbox? I was in the 9th Air Expeditionary Group at Ali Al Salem AB (aka The Rock). Good times for certain ... but the tents sucked.

no, i was in the navy, but as a firecontrollman(firing , not..fire!!!!!!!) i was one of the people in weapons department that kept track of the armory, and later on an lpd the other small arms as well. i said mos because we just called it "rate" as in job description.... i thought other branches called it an "mos" my specific job rating after all my schools was a ciws technician, but i can't remember the job code..as far as in a sandbox, no, but i was standing(well crouching) 12 hour watches in a mk 68 gun director in the straits of homuz, in fact the same time as the princeton and tripoli hit those mines. no sand for me.. i like water.but the airforce helped me out in tons of ways afterwards when i had to get medivaced out for an operation.. the air force has some bitchen doctors, and the personel were cool...
