I recently(about...yesterday)purchased an airsoft pistol from Wal-mart. Lots of my friends had them, so I decided to get one. I got a pretty cheap one, and its fun, lol. Here: http://i22.ebayimg.com/04/i/06/65/d3/41_1.JPG
So do any of you guys have any kind of airsoft gun?

Id love to get one of the assault rifle ones just to shoot stuff around my yard. I would never "play" against people with these things. Paintball is one thing - these are far more dangerous with tinier pellets. Sure, penetrating your skin may be hard but trust me - with my luck - I would definatly be pulling a "Christmas Story" in no time.

But man, they do look like fun.

lol

Yeah, my mom said if i play againt anybody, i have to waer goggles.
and mine is pretty strong too, 307 FPS, thats 209.318 MPH. I mainly shoot at hard dirt, because its cool to watch it explode, and I shoot it at leaves and try to get them to fall off the trees, or at other random things. But yeah, I wanna get an M16 one! [LOL]

Oh, and it only stings for a bit, it fonw penetrate skin. My mom told me to test it on her, so when i shot her in the back, her shirt slowed it down a bit, so she barely felt it, but in the front, it left a tiny red mark that went away in like am hour, whereas in paintball, you get big welts and bruises.

True. But Im just uneasy with how tiny the dang things are.

That is a pretty powerful pistol. Some of the replicas sell for like 300 bucks. Id take one of the mid-range ones that have full auto.

We wouldnt have a squirrel problem here anymore - thats for sure.

Lol.

Yeah, i didnt realize 307 was that much. They don't really go above 375, and not below 115. But I think my next gun will be a Mac 11, as it is my favorite gun...ever. [LOL]

lol - duh.

Thats why I think Id use it for practice and target shooting. I could entertain myself for hours seeing how far back I could hit a target.

lol right now im hitting random objects in my room

It will easily penetrate a cardboard box, with an entry and exit point. It will leave a round mark on the plastic box it came in. It will barely penetrate a caprisun sport(out of 12 times, only once did it come out the other side.) Itt'l easily penetrate a plastic bag, but folded up 6 times, it will not. It will not penetrate a water bottle...at all. [LOL]

my friend has a gas powered mac 11 airsoft gun--it empties 44 bbs in 3 seconds

and airsofting against people is so fun because you can do it in a backyard and not worry about clothing getting paint or paint on a neighbor's whatever it may be

a lot of people at my old school were really into it and thats all they'd talk about, so i know quite a bit about it

ya, that's the good thing about airsoft you dont have to worry about breaking things and making a mess.

Lots of kids used to talk about airsoft at my school too.

I have a small pistol for my back pocket, an automatic UZI, a 2 foot pump shotgun with amazing close up power, and a 4 fott long sniper with caps that pop out everytime the long metal rod is cocked back. It has amazing range, and is awesome. I'll go take a pic of the sniper if yall want.

Sure.

I think this is the order ill get my next stuff:
1. Mac 11(Automatic)(180 fps)
2. Taurus PT92(Semi-automatic)(145 fps)
3. DMPS M16(Automatic, Semi-automatic)(347 FPS)
4. Some kind of sniper
5. Maybe a shotgun, I heard they break fairly easily

And after that ill just byt and sell, to get a variety, or just keep the ones I like.

Well, batteries are usually the worst effective. Cocking is the 2nd worst, because of the time it takes. But, it has better power. 2nd best is pumping. It has the same amount of power as a cocking gun, just its alot faster. The best is gas. It fires rapidly and around 500 FPS. It's crazy.

Heres the pics anyways:

To the left is a mask and more bullets.

Yea. So how do those shells work? Do you load the BB's inside? How many go in there? etc.

I found a crazy one that shoots up to 400fps on eBay for 140 with a bi pod and scope and all kinds of goodies.

Tax refund check! I need you!

Well, however effective, i'd prefer not to use gas, first because it costs money, second because its more powerful, well actually, id prefer not to be hit by a gas one.[LOL]

Mine shoots around 350-375, and has great range. It cost me about 70, but like I said, I got about 5000 bb's free. But heres how the shells work. Each shell can only carry one bb, but this feature is great for just shooting around and showing off. There is a rotating mechanism in which you can insert 5 shells, by pushing down on it to give room for the next shell to go in. The mechanism is then inserted into the bottom side of the gun. When you cock it, the mechanism rotates, and the next bullet is pushed up into the shaft. The spring pulls back, and when you hit the trigger, that bb is long gone. Once you cock it a second time, the shell pops out of the gun where there is an opening from the pulled back (still not sure what to call it other than a cock.)While this happens another shell is loaded into the shaft, and the process repeats until every shell has been used. Its actually pretty easy. Also with the gun comes an alternate way of shooting, which is good for a more rapid fire and a battle setting. It is just a long, skinny rectangle type thing in which 30 bb's can be loaded. It attaches on to the side, and then everytime you cock the gun another bb slides in to the shaft. You have to place a special little piece in front of the spring, but this is very easy. Its very easy to work, I figured it all out without having to read any manuals and such. If theres any of the parts of any of my guns you guys want to see, just say it and i'll go get a pic of it.
