IMHO it's of no use if not utterly futile comparing Nemesis with Black Mamba (with the latter not even finished.) Nemesis is reported to be a class of it's own and for those who worship it, has already earned it's reputation over years. So we might assume Black Mamba will *later* be in it's very own class too. One more legend, hopefully, but I think a different one.

You will easily be able to compare tons of Batmans, various eSROSses, or better even the dozens of "Goliaths" getting planted all over the planet every couple of months.

Even better: Go compare a coaster with itself... [:p]

redunzelizer,

tired of comparisons [xx(] [:D]

My question is why do all the classics have to be so far away. You know these american parks have the space and the funds needed when they can build rides like Kingda Ka, Tatsu, Voyage, etc. Yet not one park has come up with building one of these heavily themed minituare rides that if you look really dont need that much space at all. Yes they might take more time and wateva, but in the end its worth. I mean look at Nemesis 10 yrs later and every is still raving over it!!!!! All they keep doing is going after breaking records which after a few months get beat by someone else and the rides dont really have any substance (i.e Superman Ult Flight) One can only pray someday one of these american parks will realize this and try something new. Till then i'll just keep dreaming of one day riding Nemesis and Black Mamba. Tear.

But if you stuck a Nemesis or a Black Mamba into most any other park it wouldnt fit.

Space, yes. But in theme? No. Its not the themeing itself wouldnt work. Its the fact that it wouldnt fit the rest of the park. Most American parks are not themed up at all. Thus, if you stuck something like this in it would be totally out of place. It would only work if the area around it and eventually the park got an overhaul.

Its why places like Cedar Point and most SF parks stick to light themeing. Its costly and requires a certain artistic "gelling" with the surrounding park for it to fit.

Phantasialand has that already in place so this ride just sort of looks natural.

You have to build a park from the ground up and have theming in mind in order to incorperate rides that are themed. Yes CP has parts that are psuedo themed but they are very sparse. You want a heavily themed ride, the entire park has to consist of one or several themes.

Okay i see what you mean, but what about the Universal Brand, they have all the space and already added theming or wat about Disney? If one of the parks does it right and uses the exact right theming choice they could make it work. Look at Exp Ever in the middle of a Jungle? they made it wrk in this odd little way, but it still works. U said it above the parks just dont want to spend the money or time to create one. Oh and we all know Busch Gardens can make one easily, infact they almost had it with Montu, but they cut some corners. And they tried again with Sheikra and again cut corners. They can they just dont want to. America will get one 1 of these days, i know it. Im expecting it mostly from the Busch peeps and the Univ crew might, but im iffy bout the Dis' even though they could prob do it best. I can dream right??

WTF WHERES THE VIDS? I WANT VIDS! THATS TORTURE! (haha)

Seriously...I need some vids. They took pictures of the most lame part of the ride...the loop. And the loop looks awesome - its just lamer than every other part of that awesome ride. Bah!

[lol] Well I haven't heard about Montu's wingover, but I've heard DDF's was pretty amazing. Luckily, I'll get to experience both this spring.[:D]

Montu's is smoother than Raptor but with less rotational whip.

DD's is even smoother but taken at MUCH higher speed. That or the radius is TINY. You absolutly rip through Fires course. Im a firm believer in Fire being better but alot of people tend to gravitate to Ice. The Cobra roll is cool but Fire is a better stand alone ride. Ice meanders back the station and is alot shorter.

Plus, once youve gone through that second Immelman and wrap around whats gotta be a nearly 5G helix youll see what I mean.

Ive always thought Fire looks better.

ANd for the vids, I just want to see an offride of the testing, as I'm curious of the speed and pacing of its course. That way we can figure out how strong those g's will really be.

I really like the look without the covers. Makes the ride look old skool.

I think they are getting custom covers. Why else, aside from testing (not all rides test with them off) would they be off? Thats my theory.

So the art work can be done on them :D Thats what happens with the front of Intamin rocket trains, well it has with stealth and rita, they were sent to Tussauds studios to be themed. So yeah, i guess thats whats happening with the covers for BM! :D I seriously love the look of this ride, i think it will look absolutely great once all the themeing is completed!

Montu's wingover is extremly forcefull.
The whip sensation is the same on Montu And DDF but the sheer force on Montu's is unbelievable.
All the blood rushes too your feet and gives you immence pins and needles and you cant walk properly[lol].
Is the same on most BuschGT coaster(very forcefull), the helix at the end of Kumba[:O], i felt 20000 times my weight and my eyesight went distrought.

Going back to Black Mamba, imo it looks like UP TO KNOW that Nemesis still definitely owns it, with the theming BM could kill Nemesis in the longrun but elements in BM IMO are pretty dull, I meen what with those Junior Immelmans, it cuts the apex way too short and you dont get full rotation, good 'Whippy' sort of feeling but still not really an inv.
This coaster DOES look awesome.
But its not enough to beat the mighty NEMESIS!!![lol][worship][lol]
I cant wait for the videos to confirm my analysation!!!

^Only the drop itself beats Nemesis, IMO.. And what about the turns toward the end? [:)].. But I'm more Black Mamba-orientated as it's closer to my house [:D] (so no offense to Nemesis)
