I have the choice of going to Cedar Point of Six Flags New England on July 24th. Im leaning toward Cedar Point but I hear the line ups are a bit long. I have never been to either of them and I am wondering which one would be better. I would love to go on Superman, Batman, MF, TTD, and all of those good ones, but I cant decide, the line ups can change your day.

SFNE is a great park, but if youve never been to CP i wouldn't give up the oppurtunity to go. Ive never been to CP, but i'll give you a quick run down of SFNE's coasters.

Flashback - just a boomerang, not much to say
Mine Eraser- headbanger, but still fun

Thunderbolt - great classic woodie that offers great airtime and a dose of lats. When full the line is only 30 minutes!

Cyclone - Awesome classic if you love heights. Its a mix with great speeds and lats. Not much airtime, but some of the elements are crazy, including the first drop.

Pandemonium - Fun ride. The line can get very lng and the line is hott as theres no covering aywhere. The ops are kinda slow, but spinning through those helixes is a lotta fun

B:DK - awesome smaller Bnm. The drop has some airtime, and the loop is a loop. But the vide loop around the exit is awesome. Easily my favorite part of the ride. The helix is meh, but then 0g's are always fun. The corks are pretty sweet because of how close they are together. Very compact down there!Fun stuff!

SROS - Most amazing coaster experience ever. Period! The first drop is huge, it feels so big. Then you speed through a tunnel, and shoot up to where the airtime feast begins. And its fun to fly through the overbank and ground hugging turn/little drop. The next two hills deliver great airtime each. So awesome. The the spaghetti bowl. Woohoo! Two switchbacks, an awesome turn that dives byt eh station, and ground hugging helx, another airtime "pop" and a 1.3 lat turn to the underground tunnel. Then you shoot up, have 3 more airtime hills and then fly around a corner into the breaks. I love it so much.

Those sucked but owell. Just have fun wherever you go!

Oh good lord, go to Cedar Point!!!! I had the chance to go to Cedar Point for the first time this past summer, and it was amazing. The lines are somewhat long, but thats only for about 3 or 4 of the rides. Its totally worth it. I was able to get on all the huge stuff in one day, so you'd be fine. Its a great park, I say pick it!

I love both parks, SFNE for SROS, CP for Raptor and Magnum.

MF is nice but I'd like more air hills. TTD is a blast if the line isn't to long and if it's operating. This past year they closed it early because of a part they needed to order late season, but hopefully this season runs more smoothly.

Where do you live though?

I think CP gives you a better enviroment and trip overall.

Is it right that you have to be 21 to check in to a hotel in US? I'm going to CP in june and would love to stay for two days, but that can be difficult since I'm only 20. And would you recomend the hotels listed on the website, or can I find something else cheap close to the park?

^ no...
I don't think there really is an age. If there is, its not 21, it would be 18, since that is when you leagally leave your parents, and your on your own. The only thing that is 21 in drinking, and thats just paranoid America.

^^^ You have to be 21 in order to check into a hotel at CP resort. You'll probably have to look around near by hotels. Which is bad because you don't get the ERT in the morning that all the rest of the Hotel Guests get.[:(]

Yeah taht was what I feared. Too bad with the ERS. But you don't have to be 21 at other hotels? And does anyone know a good cheap hotel near Cedar Point?

^ but as a whole CP is much better. CP has one really good ride, not quite as good as SFNE's, but really good, and several other top of the line rides. Plus the rest of the park experience is just so much better.

^ I think it mainly depends on the person, generally people prefer EGF than SROS but I've heard reports who felt SROS was better then EGF.

SROS has ownage in airtime, and other than EGF's first drop, I think it looks better. EGF doesn't have two tunnels and completely different helices.
