Unfortunately for you drummerkid, Wing-Over's right...

Good track though. Not the best BT ever and not the most realistic B&M, but I really liked your layout a lot. You should have noticed that though, but it happens. There's always the next contest drummerkid.

Wow. I can't believe I didn't notice that before, especially after the few times I tried to fix that. It's literally inches if not centimeters away. I suppose I really pushed the limits with the restrictions.[:D]

Edit: Its only the spine that goes a few inches out of the border, but it's only the track and the covers over the wheels that truly go out. Whatever. I'll find out if it's ok with cjd.

Spine is part of the track...actually makes up most of the track so yeah I think that's a violation of the rules. Like I said, atleast you know you took your time to enter a solid track.

sorry to put a point to it but there are 2 disqualification areas in your track

1- all track must be in the boundrys (as stated yours is out)

Dang drummerkid. Good entry, a real shame that a few infractions will put it out of the competition. And, just so you know, you have supports going about 17ft. above the road. Sorry bro.

I found out in this contest that these trains have a HORRIBLY turning radius on a flat turn. HORRIBLE.

But I did take it into account like I always do.

Beats me, I couldn't get my ride to slow down. It was going 70kph at the end of the ride.

it is for two reasons: both of your tracks are relatively short in length compared to everyone else, and your height is just about the average for everyone. the second reason is because their tracks are rediculously low to the ground to begin with, and or they are too long.

I'm loving all these posts complaining that "when I use this or that tool, it messes everything up" or even better "the AHG is killing me, I'm dropping out".

Um... if you don't use the tools to begin with, there's no problem!

Or if you either learn how to use them, or start taking responsibility for when they don't work as you've planned (I know these tools aren't perfect, but many people have gotten them to work great in their track, so 95% of the time it's not the tool's fault something went wrong) then you'd be more prepared for instances where it'd be beneficial to use them. :)

I don't use tools, but only because i can't yet. I am just about up to the point where i can't do much better without them though. Maybe i should try to use them.

I suppose I could save my track on my Mac, email it to myself, fire up the PC, get my email, open it in the PC version, use whatever tool I might want until the track is what I want, then save it, email it to myself AGAIN, go back to the Mac, get my email, then finish the supports, etc.

OR (even worse) I could just do the entire thing on the PC

Screw that. I'll do it without tools and take my chances. I learn more that way, anyhow.
