First, a big thanks for all of the ratings and comments on the first coaster from this project, 'Hydro Thunder'.

Well, now that the project has officially started, work has already nearly been completed on 2 other coasters in my Adrenaline Land project. One is a relatively small yet fun project, while the other is bound to be one of the best NL coasters EVER! Here are some details...


Coaster 1: CYCLONE

One of the unique features of Adrenaline Land is that it combines the old with the new. When sending out a poll on what type of classic wood coasters the park should contain, the clear winner was the Crystal Beach Cyclone. So, the park approached the designers at Great Coasters International and asked them to create a modern version of this coaster classic.

So, what would happen if GCI decided to make their own version of the timeless 'Cyclone' coaster? Well, that question is about to be answered, with this small but intense wood twister. It features a 125 ft spiral drop, an elevated double helix, plenty of intense ground turns buried under the supports, and even some airtime to boot. All of it is packed into a 3700 ft package with some truly surprising thrills. This is not a major project by any means, but the adrenaline turned out to be amazing! It rivals my best coasters in that department.

Progress: Trackwork 95% done. It mainly just needs some supports and the normal park stuff, and it's done.



Coaster 2: LAVA BLAST

In order to gain immediate recognition, Adrenaline Land needed a coaster that could truly set them apart from anyone else. What better way to do that then building the world's tallest and fastest coaster? However, the staff decided unanimously to not just do another TTD-type rocket... this coaster had to be truly unique. They created a monster.

Lava Blast begins with a launch to 130 mph. At the end of the launch, the train goes underground and into the bellows of a volcano... then, BAM! The train turns up 90 degrees and is shot out of the top of the volcano's firey chasm with flames erupting around it. After a 90 degree twist, the train crests over the top of the 486 ft big hill, with airtime all the way over. The track turns straight down, going 4 degrees past vertical, all the way down the gut-wrenching 440 foot big drop. With nearly 5 g's pressing down, the train immediately flies up and over the world's largest airtime hill (350 ft), and generates almost 5 seconds of intense sustained airtime. Then, the coaster goes through the world's first 'vertical overbanked turn', which is steeper and faster than any previous overbanked turn, (150 degrees). The next hill turns to the left, but banks to the right, giving some intense lateral airtime and an EGF-like drop off. The coaster then skims the rim of the volcano, and dives into a 4.5 g turn around a lake of hot lava. Turning back down into the volcano's bellows, a fast banking transition whips you around in the darkness. Then, with a quick burst out of the volcano and over an intense double-up, the most insane 45 seconds of your life is over.

This coaster is definitely going to be one for the history books. It has such intense adrenaline and wicked originality that it will surely blast away any other previous attempts at strata coasters. Even the test version, without the 3ds scenery, is the most insane coaster work I have EVER done. This coaster uses my new method of vertex placement, defining each hill and turn with 4 verticies rather than 2, which leads to a much more intense feel, better airtime, and less pumping.

I currently have the trackwork done for everything except the final turn out over the future lava pit, and a minor fix for one small bump in the big drop. With a couple more hours of trackwork, and one heck of a gigantic support, scenery, and terrain job, and this history-making coaster will be posted.

Way to be arrogent, you're not God. I'm looking forward to typical strata coaster number 5000 when it gets uploaded on the site. They all promise extreme layouts and poop, but they all end up as the exact same thing. Your last ride was about as generic as it gets, but I guess if you advertise something enough people will think it's great and groundbbreaking.

Let us see what isn't original in this equation:
- Dip after the launch (it's easier to do this than go right into a tophat. Seen it on Dodonpa, Pauly's grey rocker, and a number of other rides.)
- Large air hill (Do I even have to bother?)
- Blasting out of a volcano (Hmm where have I seen this before?)
- Vertical overbanked turn (ohh it's steeper! I guess an 89 degree banked helix is totally original then)
- Hill that banks in the wrong direction (Redunz had this for awhile, then other people jacked it and now it's everywhere)

Honestly dude if it was so awesome it wouln't need any scenary at all, it would just sell itself. Stop preaching yourself.

He never claimed to be God.
He only described what he thought his ride would be.
He didnt preach himself - he told people how he was designing his ride and how it would benefit from it.
Redunz wasnt the first to do outerbank hill.

If you thought this way about his ride, why even post? Just trying to sway some voters to view it your way? I dont see the purpose really.

If because somethings been done before it cant be done again then why even build a coaster? Oh man, its got a lift. How unoriginal. What?! A turn? more unoriginality.


Seriously, if your box of originality is that narrow then nothings ever original unless it breaks the very fabric of reality. In which case it wouldnt be realistic so its a lose-lose for someone. I can nitpick hard enough at even the most original rides to make it "unoriginal".

- Large air hill (Do I even have to bother?) So, you'd rather have a coaster with no airtime, and make the whole ride a bunch of lame turns? I love big air hills, and so do almost everyone else. Plus, most stratas don't have big ones like this because of the limited template space.

- Blasting out of a volcano (Hmm where have I seen this before?) Whoopee, "Volcano" does it too. It's still cool no matter how many have done it.

- Vertical overbanked turn (ohh it's steeper! I guess an 89 degree banked helix is totally original then) Yes, it is still technically an overbanked turn. I just gave it a catchy name because the sensation is much different.

- Hill that banks in the wrong direction (Redunz had this for awhile, then other people jacked it and now it's everywhere) Uh oh, there are other coasters that have used this very cool element before... I guess that means that I shouldn't use loops, corkscrews, airtime hills, tophats, cobra rolls, dive loops, immelmans, helixes, boomerangs, cutbacks, zero-g rolls, heartline rolls, pretzel loops, sidewinders, or overbanked turns either. And why stop there? Drops are so cliche... I should just leave the drops out completely. And every coaster has turns, so why should I have them? They are so conformist.

I spent the first 2 years of my coaster-making life using no scenery, and they still consistently got ratings in the mid-high 8's (and that was before I really started getting the hang of smoothness). If I posted this coaster with no scenery, it would still easily get over a 9. The scenery just puts it in a park setting, and adds some originality. The core of this track is the adrenaline, the smoothness, and the cool elements, not the scenery. And excuse me for trying to advertise and get opinions on my track. I'm not "preaching myself". I'm just stirring up some interest and seeing how people like it. Are my advertising posts to be percieved as arrogant or egotistical just because I have made a lot of high rated coasters in the past? Last time I checked, there is no law against advertising. Grow up.
