Rock City

My park is called Rock City, the reason? Well it is being built in rock gardens! (I have been there) It includes walkways that challenge you endurance as you climb, jump, and hike through the woods that is infested with mythological creatures and rhymes. (There are even caverns!) My park also features a variety of coasters hidden between the rocks and through the forest!
My park is sponsored by Connie?????????s pizza! There pizza is better because they are made with all natural ingratiates, and are way healthier than others. The real reason my park is different and special well it is the fact that we have drawings everyday (2 times) for free backstage passes! When people enter the park they receive tickets. Then at lunch time and the closing of the park we announce the number and the winners come to the entrance and receive a pass that they can come in the morning and see how the park it set up!

Name-Rock City
Special things-backstage pass drawings
Sponsorship-Connie?????????s pizza
Location-Chattanooga, Tennessee (Rock City http://www.seerockcity.com/flash/index.htm )

Well that is my park the perfect place to build! The land may see all on a mountain and it is but there is room around the mountain I could build on it is just not photographed. #61516;

Tranquil Paridise

Well, here?????????s my park. Tranquilo Paridise (Tranquil Paridise)
Tranquilo Paridise will be situated in the rugged natural landscape of the Dominican Republic. I know this location may sound weird, but when I went there, I as shocked to see the massive amounts of people and hotels there. While people are on vacation they are usually more open to spending their money. With the exotic animal exhibits that will be maintained in my park, I think many people would enjoy spending a day here.
My park will be sponsered by Coca-Cola. I chose Coke because they are known virtually worlwide. I also feel the company has the most to offer. They are extremely huge, and with all of their subcompanies, they could give immense support to any park. In co-operation with Coca-Cola my park will serve only Coke beverages. This includes: Coke, Dasani Water, Nestea, Barq?????????s, Powerade, Citra, BACARDI Mixers, and Swerve.
Two things that set my park apart:
1-FREE hot dogs ????????? NO park is complete without hot dogs!

Now the coasters:

Storm Runner (Hersheypark) - http://www.rcdb.com/qs.htm?quicksearch=storm+runner ????????? this ride kicks a ton of ass. An aswome outside top hat with a sraight drop, one of the more intense launches (0-72 in 2 sec.), the thrid longest rocket, and unique elements make Storm Runner a winner. I've heard only great things about this ride. The airitme is amazing, the launch is incredible, and the flying snake dive is one of the most unique elements found on any coaster.

Avalanche (Timber Falls Adventure Park) - http://www.rcdb.com/id2588.htm - an amazing woodie! Although it is small, this ride packs a mean punch; relentless pacing and extreme airitme. Once again, I've heard only great things about Avalanche.

Phoenix (Knoebels) - http://www.rcdb.com/id143.htm - In 1985, Knoebel?????????s moved this stunning ride from Playland Park where it was known as the Rocket. It as a bold move on their part, but turned out perfectly. The Phoenix is constantly rated as one of the best woodies in the world.

Riddler?????????s Revenge (SFMM) - http://www.rcdb.com/id470.htm - I chose this coaster early because there are not many ?????????worthy????????? standups out there. Riddler?????????s Revenge is the tallest and longest standup, and also features the most inversons. Nuff said.

Talon (Dorney Park) - http://www.rcdb.com/id470.htm - One of B&M?????????s earlier, more intense rides. Consisting of 4 inversions and a twisted layout, Talon is sure to please any invert fan.

Batwing (SFA) - http://www.rcdb.com/qs.htm?quicksearch=batwing ????????? One of Vekoma?????????s three flying dutchman coasters, Bating presents a unique ride expierience unlike anything many have ever ridden. Seated in a ?????????prone????????? position, Batwing will take you through 5 inversions and speeds of up to 50 mph.

Falken (F?????????rup Sommerland) - http://www.rcdb.com/qs.htm?quicksearch=falken ????????? an aswome little S&S woodie in Denmark. Standing only 65 feet high, Falken has plenty of airtime and an wicked helix finale.

Sky Wheel (Skyline Park) http://www.rcdb.com/id2773.htm - Nothing really like it in the world (except for one part of G force). A unique lift that slowly flips you upside down and twisting through another inversion. Sweet! Soon there will be a new one similar to this in Spain, and I get to ride it!

Leaps the Dips (Lakemont Park) - http://www.rcdb.com/id243.htm - Known as the oldest operating roller coaster, Leap the Dips is far from thrilling, but its historical prominence make it a great ride to showcase in any park. An ACE Coaster Classic!

Well, there is my park. You should vote for me because I think my selecton of rides is extremely unique. No, I may not have a floorless, but almost half of my coasters are woodies, something we definitely don't see enough of. I made my selections by picking rides I think are unique as well as thrilling for the most part. Here is a picture of the selected area.

Good luck to everybody else. I mean it!

Riverland is a premier destination park within a yells length of the Mighty Mississippi just north of St. Louis. The park is set in the cliffs and valleys of western Illinois, minutes from the picturesque town of Grafton and only 30 minutes from Alton; home to the tallest man that ever lived.
The park offers not only incredible scenery, but state of the art rides and thrills. With eleven coasters, Riverland is hardly a thrill-less park. Included in this package is Raging Bull, a 202????????? tall hyper twister coaster with plenty of speed and airtime. The coaster was built by B&M and includes fitting bucket seats with no OSTRs! Kumba, another B&M coaster, can be found near the entrance teasing and taunting potential riders. The coaster features a whopping seven inversions including the faved dive loop and cobra roll. Pacing is something you will not have to worry about on this coaster, it delivers. Ready to go soaring over the edges of 150????????? cliffs? If so, Superman: Ultimate Flight is the flying coaster for you. When we built this coaster, we knew it would have to be B&M as they would be able so conceive the correct way to give riders the feeling of being an eagle, bald of which are famous in the region, while still keeping costs low and thrills to an acceptable level. They once again achieved and today we have young and old alike riding Superman. As every park should have a wooden coaster, we called in CCI to build us a terrain coaster that would dive in and out of the valleys of the park. They came back to us with Boss, a 5051????????? terrain twister with monster laterals reaching 1.8gs. Boss will give you a thrill each time you ride it through the woods. Our fourth B&M coaster was Batman: The Ride; the worlds????????? first inverted coaster. When we contacted B&M, we asked for something that had never been done and we needed it to be compact to fit a certain region of the park. They excelled and pumped out a high g pulling coaster packed with five inversions. Our first Intamin coaster was Wicked Twister, also our first launched coaster. Not only was it launched, it was inverted! The ride features two spiraling vertical spikes. Gwazi was our second wooden coaster. It's a dueling coaster built by CGI giving the feeling that you are dueling with the other side of the coaster. The layout is quite twisted and races through the woods darting out only to race by the opposing train. The kiddie coaster at Riverland is Whizzer, a Schwarzkopf coaster with thrilling elements that are toned down to allow for the little adrenaline junkies. The long and drawn out first drop is a classic as are the blazing helices that come frighteningly close to the surrounding trees. When we went to Premier for Mr. Freeze, we had the intention of a launched shuttle coaster. What we got was an inverting, overbanking, launched, shuttle coaster. The ride will rocket you to 70mph in three seconds only to smoke 90* straight up. The wild mouse coaster of the park is Thor?????????s Hammer, a highly themed twisted mouse coaster that careens over our lake.
Apart from Coasters, you will find our sister park, Raging Rivers, right next door featuring seven wild water slides including the famed toilet bowls. Don't forget to bob in the gigantic wave pool also! For food at Riverland, you?????????ll find mostly Dairy Queen products. We carry Dairy Queen products and services not only for the value but more so for the quality of it. Ice cream is also the best cure for the heat of a hot summer day in Illinois, the best part is, ice cream is free! That?????????s right! Unlimited ice cream all day! For all you premium season pass holders, Riverland has a special offer for you! Free mini blizzards and 30 minute extra ride time thirty minutes before the park opens and thirty minutes after the park closes. Beat the crowds and ride your favorite coasters before the bulge hits! Then, when the families go home, you get to stay and ride the coasters in the dark, most of which aren?????????t lighted!
Make plans today and go to Riverland; The best park with the best views BOTH sides of the Mississippi!

Luna Park

The area I would like to situate my park in is "Luna Park" in Pripyat, Ukraine. Luna Park was never completed do to some minor problems in the area involving a now historic landmark. This area is unique because it is situated in the Ukraine and is in a theme park that was never completed. For my sponser I would like weddingthings.com's Chocolate Thongs for Men. This is a good sponser because it is attention grabbing and chocolate is awesome. Hopefully the historic landmark this park is loacted by help generate tourism.

Here are some pictures of the area below and the unfinished park:

Parco Dei Sogni

http://www.barrettwells.com/images/Prin ... ardens.jpg

My park, Parco dei Sogni (Park of Dreams), will be located amongst beautifully majestic surroundings in the tourist friendly area of Capri, Italy. Park management has hired landscape designers all the way from Busch Gardens Williamsburg to maintain the relaxed and picturesque feel of the area, despite the 12 rollercoasters that will be built on the site. Coasters will generally be spaced out enough to not disturb the natural brilliance, though not too much as to create excessively long walks in between rides.

The main attraction of the park will be it's roller coasters. Each ride was carefully chosen to create a variety which will ensure that no visitor gets bored, even on many repeated trips to the park. For the family, there's Twister, a spinning coaster http://www.coastersandmore.de/rides/twi ... main.shtml which will be set along the cliffs near those seen in the photograph of the park's location. Revenge of the Mummy, coming from Universal Studios Florida, is an awesome indoor ride that's fit for both families, and thrill seekers, with amazing special effects and exciting coaster segments.

The other coasters are more oriented toward teens and adults, but are also suitable for families. Kraken provides a smooth ride with 7 breathtaking inversions, while the park's wooden coasters, Thundercoaster, J2, and Mega Zeph are each of a completely different style, and give unique riding experiences. Thundercoaster features a mix between a twister and out and back layout, with great moments of airtime, especially that of the second drop, one of the most insane hills on any wooden coaster in the world. J2 is one of the world?????????s most intense and powerful roller coasters, and Mega Zeph provides sustained doses of airtime throughout it's out and back CCI layout. We have B&M?????????s most recent, and what is widely regarded as one of the best standups, Georgia Scorcher.

Other excellent rides are Orochi, the clone of Raptor that has been described as having better pacing and providing an overall better ride than it's counterpart at Cedar Point. One of the park?????????s most unique rides, Atlantis Adventure, is an Intamin Aquatrax coaster featuring a launch, a completely modified tophat, SROS SFNE style twisting hills, turns mere feet from the water, and a 72* drop similar in shape to that of Millennium force or Thunder Dolphin. Rounding out the loopers is Avalancha, a beautifully themed clone of Colossus at Thorpe park, with 8 inversions.

All those coasters are amazing, but Parco dei Sogni park also has a few big guns. Kingda Ka is currently the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, featuring acceleration to nearly 130 mph in 3.5 seconds, only to hold that top speed for another 2 seconds! It also has a 418 foot vertical drop back to earth, and a 129 foot camelback providing great airtime. Millennium Force has one of the best first drops ever conceived, and blazes along it's track at 93+ mph with incredible pacing and sustained floater airtime in several spots. Minimalist trains and a smooth ride make this one of the best roller coasters in the world!

Apart from the roller coasters, the park also has other features to please it's guests. One of the most special things about this park is the landscaping staff as mentioned previously, coming from what has been voted numerous times as the most beautiful park in the world. Parco dei Sogni has also acquired the wooden coaster maintenance staff from Holiday World. Management determined that hiring these workers will be a significant way to keep it's prized guests happy during their stay.

Park guests will also be pleased to learn that each area of the park gives out a free Italian pastry, native to different regions of the country! Not only can you experience Italy through the beauty of the surroundings, but you can also get a taste of Italy! The pastries will be sponsored by the Ferrero Company, creators of the creamy, chocolaty hazelnut spread.

The variety of this park make it one of the best in the world. Whether you like wooden twisters, out and backs, sitdown, standup, spinning, water, inverted, launched, looping, indoor, or nonlooping; from manufacturers including Intamin, B&M, CCI, Premier, Gerstlauer, S&S, and Vekoma, we've got you covered. With a setting as amazing as this, and enough coasters to satisfy the enthusiast in all of us, you can't go wrong by visiting Parco dei Sogni.

Fordham Park

My Park will be located here....

http://www.freewebs.com/gnome326/Theme% ... 20Land.jpg

In the populated/wealthy city of Irvine California.

By being located near housing developments, we plan to make more money since we will only be a short walk for a lot of people. Some draw backs to this, though, would be the absents of a large firework show. But to make up for lack of this we would plan on having a laser/water show with some minor, quietor fire works.

Along with great entertainment we will also serve great food. All burger services will be brought to us by Carls Jr. On our menu, we would include things like Chicken STrips, and all the other regular Carl's Jr. food items.
Additional food service (IE Icecream/Pizza/Sandwhiches) will be provided by Ben&Jerrie's Ice Cream, Pizza Hut, and Subways sandwhiches.

We will have our own on staff bakery which will make Taffy, chocolate, cotton candy, and all the other basic foods. Churro's will be provided by your standard churro provide.
7/11 will provide slurpies, and Minute Maid will provide the frozen lemonade. Nestle will provide the small little crappy ice creams that they haul around in those carts.
Pop secret will provide the popcorn.

We will serve Pepsi Products and will offer a ticket for an extra $10 which would allow you to get unlimited soft drinks all day.
Premium Pass Holders get this included.

Along with that, we also have 12 world class roller coasters for guests to enjoy and many other flat rides and other family attractions.

Vote for what you think is the best park! You don't have to be a part of the draft to vote, anybody can do so! Draft members aren't requireed to vote, but you can if it pleases you. Voting will end between now and then.

I never got to pick my final ride. What happened to the final picks?

Also, i forgot to add in my coaster list (I was assuming Jim would post it in, but I guess not) So I guess once I find it, I'll put it in.

Since this thread was brought back up, I'll ask my question. Until when does voting last?

Haha, ragan, FREE WEED! I love B&M Mega's, well, B&M's in general. My vote goes to ragan.

My second choice was Settling Stones. Destroy your Six Flags Pass, lol.

For those of you who didn't send in drafts with your coasters names in it, it's not my fault. YOU knew that I was going to copy and paste the drafts, which I did, so if you forgot to put what coasters were in your park, bummer for you. Congrats to the people who can read and follow suggestions and rules. Some of you will notice you only have 1 or even no special traits. This is because your traits were allready taken beforehand and you left me with no alternatives. Don't get pissy at me, I'm only the transfer man.

^ w/e I can copy and paste it into my own post below and you can't delete it. The downfall to this though, is I'll have to hope people will read this before they vote. [:(]
So here's the info about my rides which I forgot to include since I was in a hurry to type up the other stuff.

Besides our top notch service and convenient location, we also have 11 coasters that will basically make you crap yourself. You won't be able to find a better collection or rides anywhere else on the planet. We guarantee it!

Our first ride on the list is Raven. It has been ranked one of the top wooden coasters in the world my many Coaster Enthusiasts. It futures plenty of air time and a very forcefully turn over Cool Lake.

The second scream machine at this park is Superman: Escape. This ride is a nice mix of Intamin Rocket coaster and dark ride. Its starts off as a dark ride until you reach a room and there's an earthquake. Suddenly you are launched (or pushed by superman) out of the building into the top hat following curves and other pops of air time.

For our third coaster, we knew we had to go for the record so we asked Intamin to create us something wonderful, and with it we got Colossus. This Intamin looper features 10 inversions which will feel any inversion junky?????????s need to go upside down. This ride also offers a really unique sensation with its four back to back heartline rolls some like to call ?????????The Washing Machine.?????????

After the incredible popularity with a park guests on our last installation, we felt we just had to build another looper, but not just a regular sit down kind, but a floorless. So we went to B&M and asked them to create us something awesome and to use our rock wall that sprung up over night and B&M gave us this creation?????????. Superman Krypton Coaster. It may not be the most intense thing in the world but the air time and the location of the ride sure makes up for it as you plunge on and off of the side of the cliff into 6 different inversions!

And we?????????re still pulling in the guests who have the need for inversions. And with the success of SKC?????????s floorless trains, and Colossus?????????s heartline roll, we knew we would need something that could mix the 2 elements into one. We were torn between B&M and Intamin for this one, but since we have had some good service from Intamin in the past, we decided to go with them. And what did they come up with? Tornado.

Well, now that we had our inversions covered, we decided that it was time to get back to our roots. Air time! And we knew we needed something to impress the masses?????????. HIGHT! So we knew we wanted a hyper coaster. But the next question was who should design it? Well since Intamin was our last designer, and their rides are quite a handful to deal with, we decided to go to some one who would deliver a quality product with as few of break downs as possible, so we went to B&M and they designed us Silver Star. This HUGE Out n back hyper futures a 219????????? drop, and at its highest point is over 239????????? above the ground. It futures up to 4 g?????????s and is a fun air time filled, re-ride able expierence.

Wanting to once again get back to our roots we knew we had to do something else chock full of air time. But we also needed some lats, and a great wooden coaster. Well, we knew that there was only one company in the world that could fulfill our needs?????????. Custom Coasters International. So we called them up and they designed us this sweet ride. The only problem is we got stuck with Gerstlauer trains do to a shipping error. But we didn't feel like filing the correct paper work, so we stuck to them. But even so, this ride delivers an incredible experience not likely to be found any where else on the planet!

Well, we realized now that we weren't catering to all guests in the coaster department and we wanted something that would really knock people?????????s socks off, but at the same time allow the younger, smaller guests to ride so we called up Gerstlauer (even after the disappointment with their trains!) and decided we had to have one of these spinning designs. And they whipped up this for us. Although you might not get the view that a Maurer S?????????hne delivers, we feel that the interaction of watching your friends faces while you experience the ride would more then pay off. In fact, we think it helps make this an overall more enjoyable experience giving you something to talk about at the end of the ride!!! So enjoy this helix filled spinning coaster![#61514;]

Now that we had a kiddy coaster, we knew we needed something to start the newer riders onto the looping coasters. We realized that some of our guests were too scared to go through a bazillion loops, and that our park needed something to warm them up for the bigger rides, so once we heard that BGT was getting rid of their Scorpion track we knew that we couldn't let it go to waste and that it fit our perfect specifications. So Scorpion was delivered to us. Not only is this a great starter ride for first timers, it also has some fun elements for the seasoned enthusiasts, including a double or triple or w/e helix it is!

http://rollercoasterfreak.com/Flight_Fear.jpg
Well we looked at our coaster collection and asked ourselves, ?????????Whats Missing?.????????? And we decided we were missing a Premier ride. So we had them design us a spaghetti bowl. But on top of that, we had our own parks designers design a heavily themed building for it to be enclosed in. And what did we make? Something extra-ordinary. Take your standard outside PR spaghetti bowl and stick it indoors with appropriate lighting, and you got yourself one heck of a ride. It futures comfortable lap bars which enthusiasts will agree is a big plus, and since its enclosed, GP won't know that they?????????ll be flying through loops till its to late to do anything about it!

http://www.thrillride.com/EuroMir/overview.gif
with the success of Timberland Twister, we knew we had to do something which involved spinning cars again. But to do something in the same, but different was quite an underrating and we knew there was only one person that could help us?????????. MACK. And so Euro Mir was conceived. This intense spinning roller coaster dips and dives through many tunnels and some of the most beautiful theming ever conceived. It has some strong forces and sensations for the coaster enthusiasts but with a near 48????????? height limit, we knew we would be able to get most of the park guests onto this ride.

Well we basically have used every company that was notable for their designs, but we were missing a great classic American company. Arrow. So we knew we had to build something in a far off land themed to a canyon so we had arrow design us a quick 4 inversion roller coaster which would loop and corkscrew through trenches, over head, and through tunnels and thus Canyon Blaster was developed. It futures amazing air time on the drop into 2 rather intense loops then pops up into 2 back to back corkscrews which are just executed perfectly. Its one of Arrow?????????s smoothest and most fun creations and is a great starter ride for people who have never been on an inverting roller coaster.

^ w/e. No one would have voted for me unless they had seen the choices anyways so even if I got DQed it really wouldn't have mattered.[;)]

This year's Coaster Draft really seemed too thrown together, and with all the down time the site had with the server move and then the hacking problem, and the experimentation with new ideas for this, there was some confusion. IE some how I completely missed my 12th pick even though I watched for it everyday and yet some how it never came.

I'm really disappointed with this as jim just forgot to post my description that was sent to him well on time. [:(!] He also posted in the coasterdraft thread that he'd recieved it. If it isn't uploaded until tomorrow, I'll post the description myself, just to show you guys... took quite some time to do it.

EDIT: WTF happened to my avatar? O well, I'll make it smaller in time, but y doesn't the page do that anymore...

THE PARK

Sunset Islands Amusement Park (SIAP) is located on the four northern most islands of the California. To preserve nature and wildlife the paths are following the natural ways of the islands and connection to the four islands are tunneled.

The rocky base of the islands has given us the perfect opportunity to give all rides and coaster a sort of tropical theming and added tunnels to boost the thrill and excitement.

For your hungry stomachs we have closed a deal with the McDonald's Fast food Company to install themed fast food restaurants in cool caves as well as vending machines throughout the park.

Reaching SIAP is very simple, each full 15 minutes (:00, :15, :30 and :45) a ferry leaves from the harbours of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Monica and Oxnard. At the harbours there's FREE PARKING for every visitor in the SIAP Parking Lot.

THE RIDES

From the several high-class rides that SIAP has to offer, we take a look at our 12 coasters to give an idea of the variety of rides in our park.
As for being the president of the rides department is a coasterenthousiast himself, we have an insider to help us the stand out from the other parks and after a short counsel the SIAP staff has allowed to TAKE YOUR CAMERA'S ON EACH AND EVERY RIDE IN THE PARK.

Or, hyyyper, you could take responsibility for your own actions considering other people got it in fine. Why is it that most other people did what they were supposed to, and when you can't you blame it on someone else? Responsibility...what a concept!

In fact, most voters will still only judge on coasters[;)] but personally, I thought the description was a great idea. It was neat to think about how the coasters would fit together - my park was an actual themepark, not just a bunch of coasters.

Nevermind, good luck to all parks who have been posted by jim, and I still hope mine will be added.
