^Thats not really uncommon. Here in Canada you can join the military at 16, but can't drink until you are 19.

18 for us in the uk anfd we can start working part time at 14, but most people dont start untill there 16.

For us it's 15, but most places don't allow you until 16, like BGE.

13 and 14 year olds around my island(yes, I live on an island) work at many places. It just depends on the area and employer I guess.

I remember once seeing an advert in England saying "Drinking under the age of 18 can seriously damage your childs development". Which sounds a fair enough thing to say, but of course me using the internet and the internet being a completely open thing which is usually aimed at the US, I see an banner on the internet that is almost exactly the same as the posters that were here in the UK that says "Driking under the age of 21 can seriously damage your childs development"... either I'm missing something nyah or our governments are lying to us! [:O] shock horror! I wouldn't expect that to happen!
