I fiddled about with my 'graphics' and 'advanced' options in NL once and I got the FPS to go above 60, but since I have an LCD monitor it wont display above 60 anyway so I changed it back.
Thats a start at least.

As for supports I look at photos of real rides. Sorry I cant be more specific.

^ turn off v sync or verticle sync. Also, on the Nolimits home page there is a faq (frequently asked questions) page which this would fall under since a lot of people ask it. Anyways, in some cases its better just to leave vsync on because the frames are more consistant.

Check out the giga support article under the articles section on this site. Another tip for supports is that you should not be afraid to use a lot of nodes.

I personally like to keep Vsync on, it looks way better without the tearing, and the actual framerate I see isn't very different. However, you have to remember to turn it off when making videos.

I wish I had a DVI monitor, then I could go turn on vsync with my refresh rate to 125mhz, lol even tho it wouldn't go over a hundred thats a cool thought that I could have 125fps

in the simulator >setup >advance >vertical sync

go to >setup >graphics , Turning the shadows of helps a lot!
Lowering the LOD or texture Detail can make a big difference...

Whether Vsync is on or off, if performance is bad it's your video card. 60FPS is smooth, so no need to increase it.

What is your video card and it's interface?

To learn how to use supports, i guess you could just use the tutorial. Go to help, and then go to help again.

yea the LOD seems to make the most difference. textures, even tho they're a big part of lag in most games, in NL they're not that straining unless you have a huge wooden coaster with a lot of trees.

What I do is I leave LOD and textures at higher values, and turn down/off reflections, those can cause it to lag a lot. Lowering LOD makes it look pretty bad though, I'd rather that they didn't make the trains so crammed with geometric detail. For textures, forget it, most of the textures in NL get blurred quickly anyway, and it just looks worse when you lower the texture detail.

Open the start menu, go to run, and type in "dxdiag". Allow dxdiag to do it's thing and under graphics tell us what it says:

- Model of video card
- Interface (PCI, AGP, PCI-express or integrated)

^because your eyes aren't as fast as 60 fps

Exactly, but everyone has a slightly different FPS, but no one has an FPS above 60, so anything above 60 is not noticeable to the human eye.

^clear poephoofd?

Delete anything No Limits related and then re-install it.

You can email the No Limits staff or whoever runs their customer service and send them your registration information and they'll send you a new download link.
