Just let me say, good luck to MF2001!

The Ride: The Last Straw is the most intense 45 seconds of your life. Launch at 60 M.P.H., then travel through 3000 feet of track without even going below 40 M.P.H. Along the way you will experience 4 moments of floater air, but this is not the point of the ride like eXpulse. This ride is meant to be wild. The vertical g's on the turns are extreme, and the ride pulls over 1 lat twice, and exactly one lat once. The elements include 4 ground hugging turns, 2 turns reaching the tree tops, the "Last Straw" custom element, 2 0g rolls, and a crazy intense last turn. Panzies should not go on this ride, let me tell ya.

My story: This ride was built in less then 24 hours, so don't expect a technical charm. Theres the bumb here and there, but not to the point where g-forces go outside of the limits, although 1.5 lat is hit for a second. The name came to me yesturday as I went up to the Ben and Jerry's factory after lunch. I got the "Last Straw" ice cream, and it tasted so good. I thought to myself, "I'll name my contest ride this." I went back to the grandma's (still here until like 5 or 6) and started building. Now, about 20 hours later I finished the track. The ride may not excel in most rating areas, but I'ts not bad considering the time restraints I have had. Via memory stick, I can transfer some pics from my laptop. See them here:

Colouring looks cool, I bet that's really insane from the front seat. You might want to check the e-stop, though. The overbank looks higher than the first hill.

I've tried e-stop, and have found no failures yet. Like I said, the ride never goes undr 40 m.p.h., so I would imagine it would all pass.
Anyways, those pics don't shpw the turn from brakes to station, but it's just a 180 turn. The blue has been changed a tiny bit lighter, just to not make it look as plain.

Its pretty simple, just a 140 degree overbank on a straight hill that goes over the station roof. It has like -0.2 g's across the top. It kinda trick you into believing its going to be a 0g, but then it unbanks and then leads in to the real 0g. I call them 0g's because they have -0.1 g's through out them and they go from say 20 to -20, which isn't flat like Colossus'. I guess they could be custom because they're really not on a rocket, but the extreme overbank over the station roof is custom.

Edit -> I just realized I have a little violation of .1 on one g-force limit, and its not worth losing .5 off of technical because of something I know. Im thinking of taming down the launch a tad bit, or add an extra car, increasing capacity at the same time. I'm not sure though.

He was banned for a week guys...now he's back. Speaking of back, Im back at home now so I'll get alot better pics. I added a 6th car and the laterals calmed down a bit, but there are still 2 or 3 extreme spots. Ohwell! The track has to bumps, but other than that It's fine. The custom element is extremely rough in the editor, but rides smooth in the editor. I don't get it, but I'm leaving it. This isn't a technical charm anyways. If I had more than 20 hours to build it, it could of been a ton better. Anyways, new screens of better quality coming soon.

Looks like alot of fun. The 6 car trains will probably give a more realistic ride than a 5 car train anyways.

Yeah, It's not much of a difference and the laterals are reduced a tad bit, but it's still a little extreme for an Intamin. I meet the contest rules however, so I shouldn't loose points for that. What I will loose them for is a bump before the turn inbetween the two 0g's and a bump between the last turn. I would go back and fix them, but considering I only had about 3 hours to work and the fact that I only have 6 more days, It will just have to stay like it is. Im kinda dissapointed about that, but hopefully so adrenaline and originality can make up for the two bumps. Anyways, we'll just see. I'll be starting supports later today.
