Both have a high learning curve, but if you're willing to take the time to learn them they are not so bad.

This to me is the same way that people feel about the UR series. "It's crap", "presets suck", "you can't build right", I've heard it all before. I think both HR and UR are severely underrated. Sure, you can't get as inventive with the track as you can with NL or SM, but both games have their high points. Editing the props in HR a certain way gives the appearance of a terraformed environment, the same as using props in UR. Using the ctrl button in UR while you build will help you to modify a track piece that's placed so it's not lifting/banking/widening at the preset default. HR can be used to create parks, while the UR series is uber-moddable. These are things that people tend to overlook and that's too bad. There probably will never be a contest for either of these games here, but if there was I would be one of the first to submit a coaster for them.[approve]

absolutely right!! Princess G.

I feel sorry for the game.I saw many good potentials of it but toobad the game will never get any update from the maker, there's nothing new since it came out, they let the game die just like that :(

Anyway i'm getting NL soon, and for HR folks who willing not to upload their tracks anymore don't worry,i'm still playing HR i love it.

I think a HyperRails contest can go well. I don't believe to HR's death, because a game won't die until people gives up from playing it and there are a little people playing it(Including me). And i know some older games that are being played...(Voted yes, even it is too late or not)

So what if all you 'Hyper Rail Haters' dont want a competition to be hosted.
The people who use Hyper Rails OBVIOUSLY like using it.
It may be dead in your eyes but in ours its not. Most of you havnt even tried Hyper Rails, its obvious.
People are just putting it into the 'SH*T' catagorie becasuse of what they heard off other people. And thats is'nt the way to do it.
As i've said many times before, its based on opinion, not fact!!!

I'm not getting angry at anyone im just saying my opinion. And i'm sure other HR users will totally 100 percent agree with me.

I have built coasters before on NL. And honestly, i dont like NL[:p].
^^^ Ooops, here goes insultation time.

don't go whine that people who say 'hyper rails sucks' didn't have tried it theirselfs, since they have!

MY opinion:

bad points:
- Tricky to play with.
- None of the buttons make sense of what it actually does do.
- Not many track styles.
- pretty limiting on some stuff.

better points:
- Nice G-force control option. You can easily find out where the high g's are.
- If you try hard enough you can make a decent track out of it. (like all coastersimulations require [:D])
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268
