Condoms

In sexual education the teacher's always used to tell us that latex condoms work the best, although they never said why. Does anyone know the reason? What is the advantage latex gives over say.... Sheepskin?

I like blue better than red [;)], they probably are the easiest material to use without puncturing a hole and getting some one pregnant. And they are elastic! And the lubrication stays on! Wohoo! Yay for condoms!

^ with me I just say it is gay porn and leave so I can get on with my business . It has happened to me plenty of times though, I actually almost got kicked out of the library because my librarian Mrs. Hackis saw lol

Ummm.... Latex protects better then sheepskin, thats why its better. So what that means is the sperm can't get through any wholes. The only downside of condoms is they brake 3% of the time.[;)]

Sounds like you need to go back into Sex Ed.

The main reason I believe is that latex condoms protect better against std's, sheepskin/stomach/whatever/ don't.

if you need to ask that question you might want to wait befor being in a situation where one might be required. organic condoms are reported to prevent pregnancy without MUCH difference in efectiveness than latex. however the hiv virus, and several others cannot be stopped as effectively. this is because latex has a tighter molecular structure than organic materials. however the only garuanteed way to avoid stds and pregnancy is to not have sex. that said, keep in mind that there are baptists, i mean people, who will say CONDOMS DON'T work. as much as one out of 100 times this MIGHT be true, but proper use of condoms, in conjunction with spermacide will greatly reduce the risk of pregnancy ans hiv. other stds CAN exist on parts of the body not covered, but still condoms DO work, latex better than organic, but one ALWAYS takes a risk when being sexually active. are you willing to ruin at least 18 years (probabaly more cause the kid can be screwed up as a result of having teenaged parents, and continue to live at home after 18...) of your life just to get laid?
