Since when do they need to put the footers in with wood shims to allow for movement? Its called PRECISION. If I saw a company doing that in an amusement park I would be seriously worried. Heck, the first time I saw any major manufacturers ride being screwed up was Black Mamba but they fixed that in a real hurry.


This looks like the poor mans way to install a coaster. Geez.

LOL @ real. It does look quite a crap way of putting up a coaster. Really inaccurate. Ive never seen it done like this ever, and ive followed quite a few constructions really closely! Im actually quite worried

EDIT: Have you seen how wonky some of the supports are?

I think this coaster has good potential to be a very nice Euro Fighter, but it may suffer from thsoe supports. And, don't manufacturers typically use bolts and flanges to hold supports to footers?

Normally they have plans and they have lee way of like an inch or less in height (Ive seen spacers used) and whatever space they have between the bolt and bolt hole which is probably really small like 1/32 inch.

But yes. Normally they put the footer down and place the support on it and bolt it down and then when they put the track on they have a tiny bit of room to play with if the footer is off by a tiny bit. The track however cant be but the footer can.


It just seems so...sketchy.

I think thier loops look absolutely retarded with the supports and they should get a new spine style to use for loop type inversions, sort of like Shwarzkopfs.

Besides that, the ride looks really, really sexy.

I'm going to ride on opening day hopefully, not been confirmed yet.
If i do, i'll sort out a nice POV for you all.

Coming to terms with the ride, the colour absolutely sucks.
Me and gazag was discussing on the B-pool meet about what a perfect coloured ride would be.
We though pure 'Metallic', everything Metallic.
And it would suit a Eurofighter to a very high extent.
Not so sure about suiting Oakwoods surroundings but hell to it.

Layout looks great, nice air, some awesome lats on the helix.
Supports could be alot better, as coolbeans said above, awfully constructed loop.

Vild-Svinet was constructed in the same way as this with the supports going into the concrete.

Better don't take your camera on the first ride you take. Or else you might lose it because of the feeling on the first drop.[;)]

Lats on that helix? What are you retarded? If you look at the banking you'll see that it's positive g's on that banking, some pretty good g's might I add.[;)] Plus lats & OTSR = [xx(]

About halfway up the 115ft climb I began stating how we were surely at the top by now.

However, my fear of heights had little time to kick in, as almost as soon as I was aware of how high I was, I was at the bottom of the first drop, even if my stomach was some way behind.

I thought I'd managed a display of bravery in the face of a steel machine seemingly forged to create fear. But I was told later the constant high- pitched noise I unconsciously emitted betrayed my inner concern.

So I gather its going to open soon, I guess I can move this topic to the coaster forum now.

oh holy jesus! that ride looks ridiculously fast, especially going down the drop and over the hill. Oh my goodness.
