Me and my friends used to like going into the woods behind my old cottage and kicking down the old trees... it was fun, they would just fall over...

That would be awesome if the Round started on Thursday or Friday, because that would give the remaining contestents two weekends to work on, compared to only one this round.

-Sorry for bringing the topic up, I just wanted to reply to it

^Well, technically, they had a weekend and a half.

But, yeah, it's looking like Friday is the day. I got a lot of complaints about the ratings last time, so I'm going to try and be more careful this go around.

Mine is definatly a trackwork and supports track vs originality and themeing.

Because while mine is somewhat original - it carries no theme. Because I had to go with a 3d terrain I was not able to get 3ds trees in time. That takes some time and I dont have them readily available but I will next round ;)

The challenge was to make an original track, not a themed track. The originality scores are completely based off of the sequencing and the original inversion, with a small bonus for 3ds, theming, and stuff.

Not quite ready for the exchange, I'd imagine. @CK

Maybe it will work in my favor then...The track is sweet, I love the layout. Lots of airtime, headchoppers and some great curves. Also includes a triple down underground into a tunnel. Also 1 trench.

Alot of the ride was completely rushed. The supports were made in HOURS. The footers didnt get placed like I would have liked and were sloppy. If I ever do upload Ill have to redo all the footers and throw in some dang trees and a custom station.

This is what you get for now. Babies. :P

I've settled 4 groups so far, and done the ratings of one and a half. I admit I'm not working very fast, so I'm sorry about that. I spent most of the day working on smoothing my Lava Blast coaster, and then trying to figure out how to render the coaster for the next round's template as a build scenario. I did finally come up with an idea, now I just have to execute and send it off to the 'slapsta. I'm still hoping to have the ratings up by tomorow. The coasters in this round were generally good, so I don't have to write any 2-page ratings this time.

They should be up tonight. I'll update in a few hours to tell everyone if I'm gonna make it or not.

I'm afraid I'm not gonna be able to make the next round, I'm going away on holiday for the next 2 weeks, so I won't have any time to make rides for the next round. Maybe when I get back I might build the coaster for the fun of it, if I like the challenge. So anyway, I guess this will goodbye from me for the next 2 weeks...

UPDATE:

The ratings are half done. I'm looking at having them posted late tonight / wee hours of morning. Here's a little tidbit...

Group 1: Well, we all know who won that. Lots of brackets just got screwed up.
Group 2: A tie! Both coasters got exactly the same final rating.
Group 3: A good ol' fashioned battle of intensity versus finess.
Group 4: No commets yet... very close.
Group 5: The biggest surprise of the contest... tracksix actually gave Real a solid run for his money. Who will take it? It's darn close.
Group 6: The only blowout of the whole contest. One track was great, the other not.
Group 7: Good pairing, don't ya think? It was the fast tooler versus the hand-building wonder.
Group 8: 2 of the highest rated tracks in the whole round. It's too bad they had to be in the same group...

The 2 faithful know how to choose right. Good choice Edge and Jake.

Dang, im guessing that the next round would be a woodie, and i am really curious to see how a wood coaster Wing-over style would be.

Heh, we once again know my ride sucked. Too bad I had only 3 hours to make a track, not much time at all. Good luck to ya'll in the rest of the contest!

So why were you ripping on me so bad for telling you what you already knew? SOMEONE has to come in last ya know, and this time around it was prettly clear which ride wasn't up to par.
