ummm... let me make this clear... EVERYTHING you mentioned here was taken into consideration when i asaid i don't like chuck norris, in fact the things you've listed are why, except you didn't mention that one vietnam pow movie, which like the others mentioned had a plotthat could make the dukes of hazard look almost clever. . the only reason i ever watched an episode of texas ranger was because my nieghbor invited me over to show me how incredibly idiotic it was.
BUT even if he is one of the high princes of meatheadland i don't hate him as much a steven segal or that ex football/wrestling guy beefcake it think his name is just "the rock" and to be honest he's actually a really good kung-fu guy, but for people like me my age he's a symbol of how the establishment in the 80's SUCKED EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but again for a good part he's a kung fu guy more than a sh*tty action movie guy.

Alright fair enough. Chuck Norris has unfortunatly become quite a joke and a legend as a joke. Yeah he was a good figher (undefeated if my memory serves me right) but he has made some not so good action films which you just have to watch it for the action and try not to take the plots (they have plots!?) to seriously.

As for Steven Seagal, Under Seige 1 and 2 are his only movies I've seen and they are kinda enjoyable.

but I have to disagree with you about the Rock. Yeah Doom sucked but all video games to movies suck. The Rock is more of an entertainer than anything. He has already done more than just action films (Be Cool) IMO his talent is more diverse than Chuck Norris. Not saying Chuck Norris isn't talented, just saying all he can pretty much do is fight.

The one action star I really don't care for is Vin Disiel (sp?) After seeing Fast and the Furious I just didn't like him anymore.

it just the mentality that it seems to appeal to..explosion , explosion, motorcycle jump, helicopter, explosion, annoying kid with a dog, beefcake kicks everyones ass, except for one guy, explosion, annoying mom of kid with dog, car rolls down hill, beefcake kills bad guy by impaling him with pipe, anoying kid , annoying kid's mom and beefcake all hug while dog barks ... final explosion.. beefcake says something only an idiot would think was clever fade to credits....
heck i never met the guy he's probabaly o.k.... it's that type of character that just annoys me ... but i might rent doom.. i liked the game, we played it alot when i was in the navy...
