For once, this is quite a serious thread, not something I am renowned for eh? heh.

I just wanted to say thanks basically, to everyone on the site. Because, unknowingly, you have all been helping me through a particularly hard time. My dad, who was 53, died 2 weeks ago today, of lung cancer, and I really have been quite down ever since. But this website has been somewhere where I was able to come and get away from it all, a place where I have been able to come and forget about everything. That is the main reason I haven't said anything until now, because I dunno, maybe I thought you lot might treat me differently or something, stupid I guess but something like this makes us do stupid things heh heh. His funeral was today, and I'm glad it's finally been and gone because in a way, it marks the end of what has been a very difficult couple of weeks.

I don't want anyone to treat me any differently because you think I might take something that you say to heart or anything like that, all of you know that I'm not a particularly serious person and I am starting now to get back into the swing of things again. Anyone who has ever lost a parent, or any close family member, will know how hard it is to take in and I don't know about you, but I have found that just getting on with things as normal has helped me overcome it, a lot. I was in work only a few days after it happened, and like I said before, I have been my usual silly self on here and it's really helped me through it and I would like to say thank you to you all [:)] Esepcially mr slap himself for setting this place up and being laid back enough to allow me to have fun on here! [lol]

R.I.P. Daddy.

I know how it is to loose a parent. I lost my Aunt to breast cancer in 2000. And its not like she was just that Aunt you see once your entire life, because she just lived down the street from me, so in a way, she was kind of like a second mother. And it doesn't feel very good to loose some one your that close to, especially when your young like that, but I guess it really doesn't matter how old you are because the pain is still there.

Anyways, I'm glad to see that you're still able to put forth a smile during your time of sadness.

^ right his dad [;)]
As Far as I'm concerned your still fair game till something tragic happens to you.[lol] Anyways...
I don't want anyone to treat me any differently because you think I might take something that you say to heart or anything like that

So I don't see why a thread can't be both cheery and condoling if that is what Gouldy wants and or does not care about... or something along the lines of that.

did you not read what I said? I did actually say that I don't want anyone to treat me differently because of it, by treating me differently, all you do is remind me that there is a difference now, not a difference in me of course, but in my life. Seriously man, just have a laugh, if you can't laugh, what can you do? [lol]

Thanks to everyone for being so supportive, and thanks for all your comments [:)]
