Although at the moment, i cant stop listenin to Creed - 6 feet from the edge. I used to listen to it all the time and stopped listening to it, but then 3 of my friends performed it in whole school assembly and they were so good, and i remembered how much i love that song! So yeah, im back listening to it again [:D]

Tool, A Perfect Circle, Led Zeppelin, and Rush, mainly. Not much else, but sometimes I like to listen to Chevelle and Pearl Jam.

1] Wolf Eyes
2] Smegma
3] Metalux
4] AIDS wolf
6] Whitehouse

But on a lighter side...I actually like Of Montreal, Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Neutral Milk Hotel, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. [now that I think about it, that's a big gap between my music tastes[|)]]

haha I was heading in your direction one day til I had a headache and was listening to some "metal".... NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

I've been listening to more technical death metal lately such as Necrophagist, and have been getting into oldschool bay area thrash (Heathen, Exodus).

not offended by the "vines " at all, i have a modest collection of bitchen 60's garage "punk" , the stuff that ended up influencing the punk rock genre, that eventually got exploited into being part of the "alternative" non-genre that the record companies wanted to control, and name(geez, the music i liked in 1985 has the same name as a lifestyle..great..). i'm dissapointed in the media right now, and have been for 20 years (i was 15 years old when i started collecting records, the 80's mainstream sucked ass in a lot of ways) and the vines have seemed to be just kind of raw, like, sure, there's been some awsome stuff since mc5 broke up, but it just kinda doesn't get any play.. the vines seem to be stripping the chassis of a good sound down, and then just going at it authenticly, based on the things that influence them(i'd bet they are serious record collectors, not "radio listeners") which , while i probabaly wont spend any money on their stuff, makes me very happy..

^ you just have to dig deep. there are still many good bands coming out and out there that have their roots in old punk and rock. it's just that you have to put up with MTV exploiting every thing possible and avoind crappy bands like (for offense) MCR (killed A Clockwork Orange for me...forever) and Fall Out Boy being shoved down your throat. i mean, even headbangers ball got bad, and there used to be some decent punk bands on there.

1. The Ramones
They are pretty much the most influential punk band of all time.

2. The Misfits
Oldies only!

3. Dead Kennedys
A mix of punk rock and classic rock, and a bunch of weird thrown in.

4. MotorHead
One of the classic metal bands that I like.

*Black Sabbath
Tie with MotorHead. They are both great bands.

5. Anthrax
Rock at its best. Although everyone seems to know about this band, they are seldom talked about.

*Deep Purple
What can I say.

6. Well, i'm not supposed to have a six, but Reverend Horton Heat is a cool band. I don't like all of there songs, but their good ones are great.

Slipknot

THIS IS IMPORTANT (SO READ IT!)
I belive that music is a wonderful thing, I have dealt with people saying that their artists are so much better than mine and theres no such thing, to everyone music is different and loved, so we should cherish and listen to what we love to listen to, not hate upon what we don't like from others.
EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION!
I just want everyone here on WWS to hear this because its important, making the Site more peacful. Thanks everyone, I know this is a big deal over a small topic but I like to share good stuff.
