i thought so.

you want REAL green day music from when they had talent go back 12 years with dookie and with insomniac. in ALOT of people's opinions the best green day albums ever. AI is just a huge popular fad cd, like the FOB. everyone wanted it because others had it and then they acted like it was the best cd ever until they realized they were just saying what everyone else was saying. kinda like beanie babies, everyone collected them when they were hot, no one except the true lovers buy them anymore. you can apply the same thing to green day here. i like the cd, but there are many others out there young man, you really really need to get out into the world and expand your musical knoweldge, because quiet frankly, the cd isnt as good as you think it is. btw green day has totally changed their persona since the cd was made. they dyed hair black, started wearing emo poop, and from their cd back in 2003, shenanigans, sign and look totally different.

i think i still have the kerplunk
record somewhere from when they played here in 1991 or so..i thought they were pretty good at first, they rminded me of te jam and the buzzcocks.. but i've never been that interested.
it's hard to say who my favorite band is..i've got about 1600 lps, and god knows how many c.ds .... as for american bands i'd say "yo la tengo" has kept my attention for years, as do many of the bands highly influenced by the velvet underground, and they might be my favorite american band, But there's spacemen 3 to whom i owe alot for inspiration, and their spinoffs, particullarly spiritualized. in fact i'd say that spiritualized might be my favorite all time group.

i'm serious, are those guys in that picture just kidding, like kind of a tounge in cheek joke on metal? if so it's pretty funny.. if not it's even funnier. i do know people who put on shows like that, but it's a parody, they're from other s.d. groups and do this as a joke for benifits and stuff...

*raises eyebrow* [lol]

Soulfly maybe, but I will not have that said of Arch Enemy! [lol]

I think that as an art form, Death Metal is very much misunderstood, which is a shame, because it is clearly the most technically demanding and most difficult style of music to play even at a basic level. When done properly, technical proficiency wins out over everything, and nothing but extremely loud roaring and growling fits right on top of it...

and anyhow "hhhhhhwwwwwwrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhcccchhhhhh" is a terribly emo thing to say, so please, never say it again...
