Well I just wasted 30 minutes of my life.

I have two things to say. First of all, Real, everything you said I agree with. If people would just take a few steps back and look at the whole thing with common sense, they would come out basically with what you said. Basically that the majority of people in this country are lazy and are waiting for someone to do something while blaming someone else for their problems.

Secondly, Coasterkidmwm, you a retard and add abesolutely nothing intelligent to this topic. It started off fine until you came along with your pointless little stereotypical coments. If Real could make this topic to where you did have to either be 18 or have a job, I think it would be a good topic.

Anyway.. about this thing you call politics.

It all confuses me and why is it..
That there is never any good news on the TV
If theres any good news its for something thats gone bad but been madegood.
For example if some hostages have been set free in Iraq or somethin.

Good news would be that Bush got shot in the ass.

Actually, one of the head of miliatary for the Iraqi Air Force during the old regime wrote a book on how Saddam had ordered all the WMD's been shipped to Seria, or some place like that, before we had invaded Iraq. I guess he could either be a) lier or b) telling the truth and the would explain the absence of WMD's in Iraq.[;)]
Anyways, lets not discuss WMD's, I could care less about it for the moment seeing as how that's out of my control.

Well, how about this. If you dont believe the Gov, then why do you believe that they found nothing? Or why dont you believe that he ditched them?

Saddam, however crazy, isnt an idiot. Im quite sure he knew and easily disposed of them.

But even if there were none, is that relevant now? Im not saying to ignore it but its been 3 years. Theres more issues at hand than to keep bringing up the issue of WMD's. Thats the problem with our society - it never moves on.

It sticks to one or two points and beats them to death even beyond the point. Did they lie? Who knows. The ones who did the research and reports WERE with the Government. If you believe they lied, whos to say they didnt lie as well? Why believe them over another part of the Gov? Its all the same. Its the Gov.

I never said to forget. I said to move on. When a family members dies. You never forget - you move on. But you, nor I, can make a for sure desicion. Its still speculation. You cant tell me that the reports are all 100% truth because you should know thats not realistic as well.

I just cant stand when people stay hung up on the same issues from years ago instead of trying to fix the ones we have now.

I think topics 3 years ago that still affect today are okay, such as WMD's, which imo never existed, but it's all the stupid little things like the assassination of JFK (which my history teacher is fricking OBSESSED over) and the 2000 elections (booo) which annoy me. That was back then. This is now, and WMD's are still important today. That is, figuring out how to get rid of them, which I suspect will never happen unless somehow we all become hobbits. w00t.

Thats the only thing that should be being thought about as far as WMD's go - how to neutralize them.

When people obsess about events that happened in the past that dont have a bearing on whats going on today (JFK, 2000 elections, etc) thats a problem. You cant change history so get over it.

Another major epidemic of sorts is the time that people live in. As you get older you tend to live in the past. You think on things in the past and it seems as though society pushes this logic as well.
When you are younger its all about your future. They preach to think and plan for your future. Future, future, future, future!

Both, from what Ive seen, are problems. Too much time spent in the past isnt good for you. Neither is spending all of your time preparing for an unknown future. Seems like everyone these days is stuck on what their future will be even though its completely up in the air. You dont know. you could die tomorrow. Or tonight. Could you plan for that?

Why cant people live in the now. The present. Thats whats more important. Live now. Not later and not in the future. Neither are "liveable".

Just a random rant :P

There is a giant sign that shows how much money the US is in debt, the sign is currently around 9 point something trillion dollars, many people are worrying what will happen when it its 10, since there is no extra space for an extra number, they are worrying about that when they OWE 9 TRILLION DOLLARS.

Bush isnt all that great, most presidents named George had many downsides.

How about this question, Who is your favorite politician?

Mine is Tommy Douglas

Lester B. Pierson in 2nd

Bill Clinton in 3rd

Pierre Trudeau in 4th

Currently

$8,406,559,401,664.39

Not 9.xxx ... make sure you are on the government site and not the HTML coded counter.

And yes, 8 or 9 does make a difference.

And it's wartime--a nation's spending is supposed to increase...

IT'S THE SAME ISSUE. look, i know these kinds of people better than you might think .. i don't just "stick my finger in the wind' and choose my opinion. the issues we have now are a result of what those self righteous pricks did back in 2003. they still haven't been held accountable for them. if i commited a serious crime in 2003 and got away with it, but people knew i was guilty, and poop got worse and worse everyday because of it wouldn't you keep trying to take me to task for it.?.. i'm not a "bush basher", i'm not a "sore loser " democrat or a "left wing wakko" nor am i an emboldener of the enemy or a non troop supporter or even UNPATRIOTIC... i'm just angry (but not adrift)
but you know it's possible, slightly possible that he hid the "wmd's" but i highly doubt it. i believe they lied, now to be fair i don't think it was to be greedy for oil; like the protester robots chant, or only because "he's the guy who tried to kill my dad" , but for deeper reasons.

and by the way.. i supported getting rid of saddam with force.. i participated in desert storm, and wish we'd finished by removing him.

What will you try him for? Whats the worst he could get? Its not just him, how many other people in the Gov would have to be taken to trial for the same thing? How many were part of those decisions?

Again, Im not sure if what he did was right or wrong but you, nor I or anyone else has proof either way. If there was conclusive proof I would be right beside you saying something needs to be done. But, whether the administration hid the info or Saddam hid the bombs - no one knows.

Think about too the magnitude of what you want. Do you just want Bush out or do you want everyone involved? You need everyone involved to be fair. God only knows how deep that could go. With out legal system it could take longer than these people would be alive.

So impeach Bush. Then ya got Cheney whos even more of a nutcase. Say he dies, whos next in the chain? I forget whos next but Im sure its someone still involved.

Im just trying to use some logic here to understand your feelings. Without proof its pointless to get so angry over something because its just what you believe. The info you have is no more and no less than what I have. We all know that ALL Gov's of the past retain information from the public. So right there we know we dont have the whole story. And now the media is so into things they skew things to whichever direction generates more news no matter what the political/law enforcement/gov says.

Also, ve got no ties to any branch of the military and have no desire to enter into it. Ive never heard that from a military "a-hole" either. I just dont see how holding them accountable changes anything for our future. Got any ideas? (being serious, not sarcastic)
