Whats your favorite coaster type and why?Mine is B&M invert, because I love the way your legs hang and the G's pulling on your legs.To me there's nothing that beats a front row ride on an invert with all the leg choppers.

I'll take a nice out and back woodie over a massive B&M or a 420ft Intamin.

Here's my top five:
1 Wood
2 B&M Invert
3 Intamin hyper/giga
4 B&M Floorless
5 Vekoma Flyer(when running right, ;) )

Top five from what I've been on:

1. B&M Floorless
B&Ms are good when trimmed right. I liked Superman's first drop and airtime hill, where your legs raise into the air.

2. Intamin Inverted
Tornados are always a pleasure to ride, the zero-g rolls are great..

3. Vekoma Wooden
Loup Garou's a very well designed ride and one of my favourites, but Robin Hood lacks on the intensity department being smooth and not unpredictable..

Intamin Wooden
Colossus was massive, and who wouldn't like airtime? Those Japanese coasters look good too.

5.Vekoma LSM/LIM launched
Such a great thrill, and comfortable if you hold tight..

What I would like to ride:
Intamin Megas (would most likely be new favourites)
Intamin Rocket Coaster (Inverted Top hats look like giving much airtime, and the acceleration's good too. New favourite also)

My Top 3...

1) B&M Hyper
Apollo is my favorite coaster and the other looks awesome.

2) B&M Invert
Alpengeist and Montu are my number 2 and 4 coasters, plus DD is really fun.

3) Intamin Invert
I love Volcano, and the ones in Europe look pretty good

B&M invert because its just so flexable and can be used to create a massive thrill.

Inverts and hypers!

Also, my least favorite is anny arrow corkscrews. They're usually so unbelievably boring for me, and they're very rough too.

THE TOP 5:

1. CCI/GG Wood. Nothing beats em' IMO. they're just SO good.

2. Intamin Hyper/Giga. These coasters have the best drops and the best airtime.

3. B&M Inverted. (the old ones with the intense g's like Raptor, Nemesis, Batman, and Montu, not the new over-engineered crap like Talon and Top Gun: Jet Coaster.)

4. GCII Wood. They keep getting better and better each year, and so they keep climbing my list.

5. PTC/Classic Wood. Some of the most fun you can have. I love the old Schmeck coasters, the living legends from the 20's and 30's, and John Allen's rides as well.

Honorable Mention: B&M Hyper. I like the airtime on these rides, and they have their unique moments. It's just that they're a little too 'programmed' and not wild enough to make it to the top 5 IMO.

THE BOTTOM 3: (only from what I've ridden)

1. Vekoma Boomerang. The most painful and uninventive rides ever.

2. Togo Sit-Down. WindJammer and Viper were enough to convince me that these were really bad coasters. And based on the video of Manhattan Express, it gets so much worse...

3. Arrow/Vekoma Corkscrew. They have some cool elements, which helped keep them from the bottom, but really really hurt at lots of points.

I love woodies. Everyone says that they're rough and stuff, but an out of control ride makes for a great one. And if you think the Steelies have great drops and such, maybe you should check out Rattler's drops. The first one and the one of the MCBR are two of my favorite drops of any coaster i've been on. Anyways, here's my list:

1. Older Woodies: Comet (HP) Wildone Rattler
2. Intamin Hyper: SROS (SFNE)
3. Intamin Rockets: XCEL
4. BnM Floorless: SKC
5. CCI/GG Woodie: Ghostrider

Hmmmmm. I havent ridden a woodie yet but i can imagine me loving them! Anyway, my fave coaster types out of the ones ive been on are:
1. B&M invert
2. Schwarzkopf loopers (YAY the g's)
3. Intamin accerator/rocket
4. B&M dive machine

I dont really like vekoma motorbikes, i found that velocity at FL hurt a bit in places, and after putting your restraint down, you cant move an inch!

"It's all about the Intamins baby, uh huh, yeah"

SROS SFNE is by far the best coaster I've been on, and I loved MF too...EGF and Goliath Walabi look great. I've really enjoyed every Intamin I've been on (excluding Skull Mountain which was only ok, but that doesn't count because it's not geared toward adults.) I hope to get on Storm Runner since I'm about 2 hours from there, and that ride also seems great.

I don't have a top 5 or a favorite coaster type. It's already hard enough between wood and steel, since both have their charms. I like any coaster, even the roughest coasters. But maybe i'll change my mind when i have ridden manhattan express.[lol] (points to TPR onride video [lol])
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

i like wooden coasters. in all they just "do it for me" i'll ride anything(except for vekoma boomerangs) but since , and not just in a coaster way, i have an insane fixation for old rides i'd say wooden coasters are one of my favorite things in general.. steel rides are good too, but there's just something about wooden coasters that just hyptnotizes me in general.

I love woodies... To be more specific, I'd love a chance to ride any GCI coaster.

Wow, talk about a delayed reply.

I haven't really been on enough coasters to make an accurate desicion, but my current favorite coaster is Apollo's Chariot.

Oh, and cdj, dont forget Alpengiest under Inverts. It may be a bit over-enginerred, but the g's are great. The cobra roll is very intense.

Hahaha 3 year topic bump? Herm...

I guess anything B&M. Sweet rides but I love a good woodie (coaster).

Even though it doesn't ask, I am going to tell you that my least favorite (like jay) is the Vekoma Boomerang. They're fun the first time, then just not worth the wait after that...

In a list:
#1 - Wooden
#2 - Intamin Steel
#3 - S&S Compressed Air
#4 - Arrow Corkscrew

I really like wooden coasters(mainly CCI's, old GCI's, and anything classic with PTC's) and intamins most. Wooden coasters are just plain fun and throw you around along with some awesome airtime. Intamin is relatively new, they're fresh, they know how to give you a good ride combining thrill with comfort(thank goodness for heartlining on steel coasters).

My favorite coaster type is the B&M floorless. I love them so much, because you relly get the sensation of free flight. I can stick my arms out and imagine that I'm riding the breeze, and it's really fun. I'm also a fan of Intamin Hypers and Arrow Hypers, even though Millennium Force and Magnum are respectively the only ones that I've been on. I am also a huge fan of CCI wood coasters, because they are so fast and out of control. And I like impulse coasters also... and inverts... and classic wood coasters... well, heck, I guess that I like them all! [:)]
