As many of you know, I am moving to San Antonio this June. So this week, my second spring break (woohoo!), my family is traveling back south to find a house. The first two days will be all travel (but somewhat coaster related), and on Easter I'll be hitting up Fiesta Texas. No vids for this trip, but around 60 photos. Anyways, to the TR.

April 14, 2006 Day 1: The day started off at 8 a.m. as we pack the car and left our home in Jamestown, Rhode Island (yes, I live on an island). We took 95 south, all the way until we hit NY. Our destination for today was Annapolis, Maryland, where we would be staying with my grandparents for one night before flying to Austin. NY is the home of traffic, so we decided to go around it. We took the 287 around the city, and ended up on 78 west. I looked up from my DVD player and realized we were going to cut through PA (ended up being in it FOREVER). I read the next sign, and sat up when I read Allentown, PA. Immediatly I thought about Dorney Park, and it hapenned to be located right along the highway. I got my camera out, and took 6 pics as we sped by at 70 m.p.h. The park itself looked awesome. It was built down in like a little valley from the highway, and all the rides stuck out. I easily saw Hydra, Talon, Steel Force, Laser, and Thunderhawk. They all looked so awesome, and I was so upset I couldn't go. It doesnt even open until the 6th or so of May though. Anyways, the drive continued, and we ended up in traffic for about 1 1/2 hours. We took many detours, scut the corner of Harrisburg, and after being in PA for about 3 hours or so, We hit York and arrived at the MD border. It was 30 miles to Baltimore along 83, and we had to cut through the city. We drove right by Camden Yards and the Ravens stadium, and it was pretty cool to see them although I have seen them many times before. I finally felt like I had escape what we jokingly call the "smallest fricken state." We took a bunch of roads unti; we finally got to close to Annapolis, where at 6 o'clock we finally arrived. We ate dinner, hung out with our cousins who also live here, and had a cool little time. I am now hear at 11 o'clock sitting in my grandma's house and talking to ya'll. It won't last too long though, as our flight is at 8 or so in the morning. Possibly an update tomorrow. but nothing much until FT.

I'll upload the Dorney Park in the distance (camere zoom wasn't that great) at 70 m.p.h. through the window in the foggy weather while it was raining photos soon.

Edit --> Due to a lack of uploading ability from my camera to my GP's computer, I won't be able to get up any pics until I return.

If you like mexican food, convince your family to go to "Mi Tierra" downtown (about 1.5 miles from the Riverwalk) -- you will not regret it.

Also, I lived there 9 years and both my kids were born there and my wife is originally from there - her entire family still lives there as well so we go pretty regularly. Anything you need to know about that town, I can provide ya.

Viva San Antonio!

Ok guys, I'm back from SFFT. Just let me say the park was absolutely awesome. What a difference 3 years has made. Before I type up a TR, just let me tell you I took about 44 pictures (camera died at like 4) and here are the rides I got during the day:

SKC- 3
Poltergeist- 3
Rattler- 2
RRE- 2
Boomerang- 1
Scooby Doo- 1
Scream- 1

I actually think that's it, but we had only 7 hours in the park. I also got my season pass processed. Going from coaster to coaster was easy because it was just my brother and I, so we hauled around the park. I also spent time taking pics.

Tcon, I lived in San Antonio for 5 years before, and I love it. We have another 4 to come.

Happy Easter to all.

Edit -> I could start the TR now, but the photos will be uploaded later today after I get a disk from Wal Mart.

I can't think of anyone who'd actually want to see you.

Please don't use any pictures without my permission. If you would like to, just ask. I promise I won't bite. Thank you.

I'm starting to upload pictures as I type, so expect additions to this post over the next hour or so.

Sorry for the quality on the first six, as they were taken through a window at 70 m.p.h. and in the rain.

I might be going up there soon during the summer. I haven't been there in a really long time...before SKC opened, I believe, and now I can't wait to go.

EDIT: well, i went to RCDB to check and I actually haven't been there since Road Runner Express opened...[:(] so it'll probably be a new expierience for me.

Superman Krypton Coaster (I ran out of batteries, which is why there are more SKC pics than any other ride):

Ha, don't worry. My hair is back to natural ol' blonde. School regulations. And I'll wear a hat.[:)]

That, and I don't know if I'm going to go for sure, but I'll tell you if I do.[;)]

It's pretty funny to me that the mounts for Superman's feet are still there.

Good news guys. The SA trip mission has been accomplished. Yesturday and Today we have found and "bought" a new home. It was originally listed as $243,900, but after a few counter offers we got it for $234,??? We're located in Deer Creek, where I lived 3 years ago, and I'm right down the street from my best friend from when I lived there before. The area is Cibolo/Schertz, and I will be attending Bryon Steel High School, which is brand new.

Heres a look at what is around the house:

Downtown-20 miles
Fiesta Texas-18 miles
Sea World-25-30 miles
Splashtown/Spurs Arena- 20 minutes
Shlitterbahn-12 miles
The Countries Largest Strip Mall Called The Forum-5 minutes (best buy, yay!

Some details about the house I know and photos to come soon.
