For me it's atie between B&M and Intamin. Both of them create such smooth flowing, and amazing coasters! The one better thing about B&M though is that I feel 110% safe in one.
Neither have I, I just had to pay homage to him and the fact that if I could ride any ride in the world, I would choos to ride any of his five or so best designs over any other coasters of the modern world, which is a pretty grandiose statement seeing as he had much less to work with back in his day technologically and inspirationally.

Intamin for me. althought B&M and Intamin both make smooth coasters, Intamin tends to push the enevelope of coaster design and technology. Yes, they have more downtime, but it seems to me, especially now, that B&M is taming down thier coasters. If B&M came out with a 4D I may change my mind, but until then, Intamin all the way.
based on my own ride experiences:
1.B&M (katun, nemesis, d?????????monen nemesis inferno, oblivion and air)
2. Intamin (kanonen and balder)
3. Schwarzkopf (lisebergsbanen. actually zierer, but degsigned by anton himself)
4. Maurer Sohne! (dragons fury. amazing spinner.)
5. Vekoma (Thundercoaster)
Close call between B&M and Intamin but I prefer Intamin, especially hypers/megas, rockets and then B&M speed coasters.
Although newer Vekoma coasters are less rough, I don't enjoy inversions on sit-down coasters apart from zero-g-rolls and stengel dives. Vekoma still can't make any airtime machine but loopers.
