Ok, Magnum XL 200 @ CP.
2nd time on it (thank god) and we leave the station, only to my horror that my lap bar had come undone. if you have been on magnum, you'd know it has some wicked airtime hills. I had to hold it down myself since mom (who was sitting next to me) had to hold hers down, too. thats my story, nuthing too much. oh, and i was on a TTD rollback once. :)

2 Moments, one was on Raptor when test riding in the mourning. The restraint was in the "sweet spot" between locking possitions. On the first drop the locking mechanism slipped and the harness went up a notch. It totally caught me off guard and I hung onto the restraint for dear life the rest of the ride.

another time was on MF, there was an inch or 2 extra between me and the restraint so the first drop was freaky as hell.

I have had several experiences...

- overhead let go while upside down at IX indoor amusement park (I found it kinda wierd that when it happened I told the operator and he didnt care). You cant always trust those parks.

- Cedar Point riding the white water landing and the gate at the top of the 50 ft hill was not working and there was a boat stuck before it and then another boat behind it and then us. When the boats behind us was hitting another boat it caused our boat to lift and eventualy push the nose of our boat over the edge. I was about 7 when this happened. Then once they noticed that we were like that, cause my aunt was freaking out, the hit E-stop on the lift.

-soak city family tube I almost flew over the edge. as in bouncing out and back in.

its a death trap, on the lift hill you can acctually touch the track on one of the turns just as a car goes round it. if you tryed it it could easly have of you fingers.

my second time riding "The Comet" at SF Great Escape(out and back woodie), my first time i rode in the middle of the train so I didnt get much airtime. the second time I rode in the last row :P and if you have ever been on the comet you know that the restrains only come down so far (about 6 inches above my lap) and the ejector air on that ride almost made me cry lmao (i was like 9?)

What in the WORLD would make you decide to go to an amusement park the day after you just saw someone you knew fall to their death!!! Not the happiest and most fun times, huh?! haha
[/quote]

I didn't really know him, only in passing, and at this point, I didn't actually know that that was him. Disturbing though it was, I thought it was someone's guest. I wasn't on the roof when it happened (luckily). Also, I did debate going, but ultimately decided to since it was my birthday and something to take my mind off things. I did eventually have a good time. It wasn't until reporters started asking questions that I actually found out the identity of the person who died, and I felt really bad, even though, like I said, I didn't know him all that well.

Well, on Demon at PGA during the corkscrews, since you onviously have to push up a bit from being thrown into the harness, as I grabbed the harness and pushed myself down into the seat while upside down, the notches began to undo themselves. So, while the train was upside down, the harness loosened, while it went back down, I pushed it back in. It didn't quite lock I suppose, but itt didn't give all the way either or anything. Nothing too big.

OK, two stories, both on the Magnum:
When I was young (like 7) my family went to cedar point. I imediatly wanted to go on the Magum, which was the worlds tallest coaster at that time[:D], So yea, we waited in line for somthing like three hours and got in a car near the back. This was back when the Magnum only had one lap bar and a preatty worn out seatbelt. Now, I was, and still kinda am, a twig, but a a tall twig non-the-less, so I could ride. My dad on the other hand looks kind of like TConwell, but without the mustash and hair (if you know my dad, I mean no offense). We where near the top and i was wiggin' out when I discovered I could easily slide out. I can not even tell yall how scared I was.

Lat summer a lady in the car (and row) in front of me lost her sunglasses right on the third hill, which is as close to floater air that you can get on the Magnum. The glasses where just spinning as I went down the hill, but they stayed in front of me for like 4 or 5 seconds, which actually pretty long. COMPLETELY MATRIX[pshades]

mine isn't a rollercoaster but trade winds at BGW or BGE whatever you want to call it. I was riding with my sister and i was like 4 or 5. so were going and my legs started to lift from under me and eventually my legs were on my sisters lap. I was crying my head off because i only had my hands to hold on and the operator didn't even stop the ride. I never went on one of those rides until hershey park. very scary moment.

Mine aren't so bad, but they kind of made me nervous.

The first one was at La Ronde, my friend and I went on Cobra and the little thing that would hurt if it hit you you-know-where didn't move on my "seat," so I started yelling at the ride op. but she just laughed and finally unlocked it. THANK GOD, I want kids.

The other times were at Hersheypark. First, my girl cousin weighs a lot less than me and we decided to go on the Wild Mouse ride there. Well, it's just one single bar and there was a TON of space between her lap and the bar. Then my other cousin and I went on Comet, and she doesn't really ride roller coasters, but she decided to go on it. This kind of freaked me out too, because I didn't know about it, but on the lift hill the chain and track like warp to the left, so it was weird. The cars feel like they're rocking back and forth the whole time, too. The last time was when I was pretty nervous getting on Storm Runner. I was sitting with my OTHER cousin (there's three [:p]) and she claimed she wasn't nervous at all, until we started out. But when she was putting the restraint over her, it never went down all the way and there was a bit of space left. I wouldn't have yelled so loud if I wasn't so nervous, but I about screamed WAIT STOP because they were about to let us go, and someone heard us so they came over and locked her down.

Anyways, that's it. Not too bad.

My scariest moment was the first time I ever rode the back of the Georgia cyclone. I had my lap bar probobly four clicks above where it should be. On the fourth drop you get a ton of ejector air and I would have flown out if not for the seat belt. Basically the lap restraint did nothing. I was atleast a foot above the seat. It was the single scariest and the single most fun thing I have ever experienced on a roller coaster.

?????????Scary moments????????? on coasters, I have had several.

1) Geauga Lake - Me and My girlfriend at the time were riding the Big Dipper. When we hit the top of the second hill our lap bar came unlocked for the rest of the ride. We told the attendant when we arrived at the station and the seat was closed off for the rest of the day.

2) Cedar Point - My cousin and I went on the Corkscrew and we had completed our ride and we stopped in the break run just before the station. They were assisting a handicap person on to the ride. After they release the train from the station and we were released from the breaks. Some stupid teenagers were playing with their baseball caps by flipping them off their heads and one fell into the track area and tripped the sensor and locked the breaks and our train was stuck for about 45 minutes waiting for maintenance to arrive.

3) Cedar Point - A friend and I were on Gemini Blue train. We left the station and when our train tried to engage the lift it slipped. Not once but three times and then it stopped. We were in the back seat and heard the lift motor wind up very quickly. When I look over the side at the lift motor I saw a big pile of lift chain. We had snapped the lift chain. We waited about 30 minutes for maintenance to arrive. When the guy got there he walked down to the lift area and we all heard the following very clearly, ?????????Ah love!????????? After that the crew came out and unlocked our restraints and escorted us all back to the station. The red train was still running during this time and everyone on it was waving and cheering at us.

4) Geauga Lake ????????? I was telling my niece about getting stuck on a ride and she made the mistake about saying she would like that. Well we were in line for Dominator (floorless coaster) and we got in the front row. Our train was released from the station and we were about half a train out of the station when the ride lost power and we stopped moving. I look and her and said, ?????????Are you happy now!????????? She replied, ?????????No!????????? I said, ?????????Be careful what you wish for next time.????????? We were stuck for about 30 minutes before maintenance could get the power back and let us continue our ride.

5) Holiday World ????????? We were at the Stark Raven Mad coaster event and all of us were waiting in the park?????????s picnic area for the park to close for our evening ERT. Mrs. Koch, the park owner, made an announcement that the event had to be cancelled due to a rider being ejected from the Raven coaster. We were all in shock at the time and learned later that the person was killed.
If you are going to make a scene, be seen.

Had that happen to me twice. Once with a hat on Magnum and another time with a nickel on Nitro. The nickel on Nitro I was able to spot, check it out and then snatch it from the air on my first try. Was rather funny for the people sitting in my row that noticed it.

Getting stuck on coasters is scary? Psssht. I welcome that. Just like Bockzilla, my girlfriend made some statement about getting stuck on MF and sure enough, at the usual E-stop point (like 275 up) we stopped. Nice view and we still got our ride plus we got Exit passes for later on.

My first ride on the Mean Streak before it was slowed-down. The turn that goes over the lift. There used to a be a little airtime in the section over the lift and what seemed like an inadequate lateral pull at the bottom of the curve. I thought I was going to go flying out of the car. One of the few time I've screamed (versus laughing) on a coaster. Unfortunately, it's now big, beautiful and boring coaster. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I sat in the back on the Riverside Cyclone once at SFNE. I almost flew out on the third drop because I was sitting with a rather large person.
It was only a single lapbar and single seatbelt.

Coming back into the station on 'Air' at Alton Towers there is a piece of switch track which changest to exert trains into the 2 different stations.
As we approached the switch track, me and my friends noticed that the track was only half way between the track section of Station 1 + Station 2.
As we was in the front row we were the only ones that saw it and we started shouting stop really loudly, i'm sure everyone thought that we was being stupid and Carelessly started laughing.

So we was there, about to witness our steel ridden deaths and thank god, the track started moving again and connected back up to the track to take us back into the station.

Not a freaky coaster moment, just the thought of death and internal pain that made it undisputably, the 'scaryest coaster experiance' to date.

the sitch track on air is about 8 ft off of the ground, but remember those B&M flying trains/cars are extreamly heavy.
