Underground fire?

If you read the article, you'll find that the underground coal mines and strip mines have caught fire and have been burning for the past 40 or so years. And could burn for many, many more.

I want this thing to burn forever. I want to see it some day. And if those bastards put it out before I get there I'ma be a pissed off little kid. *tries to look mean*

This would be a cool place to visit sometime though. It's a very intriguing occurance.
