Coasterkidmwm decided to flame me again, misinterpereting a point that I made about using a different support style as an attack on two other coasters. Since it isn't proper for me to just delete it, I figured that I should get approval first.

http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... p?tid=9987

What he said about pumps, hand-building, and using an L-shaped layout is fine... that's his opinion. But what really gets on my nerves is that he said I was "overhyping", even though there was no hype for this coaster whatsoever, and he called me an arrogant jerk just because I made a point about the coaster's support style being different than other GG style coasters.

I didn't even use numbers lol. Accept some criticism or you'll end up like Thorazine did.

I don't give a crap about the criticizms you made on the coaster... it just pisses me off that you think I'm being an asshole. There are 2 opinionated comments on the whole ride description... that the hill sequence is random, and that the speed is sustained. I don't see how that is "overhyping". Also, the comment that you made about "looking down on 2 better coasters". I wasn't 'looking down'. I was comparing the support styles. I never claimed in any way that my coaster was better or worse than them. It was a mere comparisign. And since you have unnecessarily flamed me in the past, I was tired of it.

I'm not mad at ya' but the one thing I noticed is if you say you're right about something like the wooden base for the track (and I think you are) and compare to other rides, then you had better have your other things be right like supporting styles and railing post size, which I don't think you really nailed enough for me to be able to say "hey this is a great recreation of GG's style." I didn't take your comment as an attack (EDIT-speaking of your description before you edited it), but I don't think it was appropriate to cite other rides in a negative manner, especially if, while a pretty good ride, yours isn't perfect. I read your description and didn't read coasterkidmwm's review yet, but that's just my opinion on that issue. Anyways keep workin' hard on them coasters man.

What does "I know, there are a lot of other large GG woodies floating around recently, but I think the adrenaline on this one speaks for itself." mean then? BTW nice description edit.

All right, I'll just get rid of the coaster-specific comments. The whole point of that was to show that something was different, and I figured that a solid reference would help. Apparently, it didn't come across quite the way that I wanted it to.

You're going to have to edit a ton more to make it less arrogent since all of your ride advertisement threads are arrogent as hell and pretty much all of your ride descriptions. The reason you such high rates often is because you make yourself look like god in the ride descriptions and idiot noobs that don't know any better just believe you right away despite you haven't absolutely nothing groundbreaking on your ride at all.

I guess a few of the things I was trying to say in the description didn't quite come across correctly. In the matter of comparing the supports to other coasters, I was just trying to point out how it was different and I figured a solid reference would help. It came across wrong, so I hope the edit clears up the intention of that remark

"I know, there are a lot of other large GG woodies floating around recently, but I think the adrenaline on this one speaks for itself." means that I'm acknowledging that there are a lot of other people who have built GG wood coasters, so people are probably going to dock originality for it, so I was trying to shift the focus off of the coaster style and onto the ride's adrenaline.

Which you are implying is better than everyone elses! Even the thread title is arrogent. "Personal Attack from the site retard". Interesting how the "site retard" knows more about coasters and NL than you do.

Here are some of my thoughts on the discription of the coaster.

As far as your coveted four vertex hill shaping goes, I think everyone here has already heard about it and it's not necessary to keep going on and on about it. It's been out for several months and that makes it old news.

I can see why CKMWM can sometimes get tired of your tracks. They tend to get a lot of rates by people who make just write something of two lines and call the track a 9.5. Maybe he feels it's unfair for these rates to stay. I don't really think Thrasher is all that much better than some of my tracks, yet it's gotten huge rates.

Because you are a mod and do have some of the best tracks on site, a lot of people just say, "Oh, his last track was great. We better rate this one high too." I bet most of the high rates your tracks are given come from people who only ride front seat and never look at the g scale.

Don't take this the wrong way, I do still like your tracks. But I'm just trying to explore and rationalize some of the feelings that people like CKMWM have against you. Maybe this has helped and maybe it hasn't.

No you're being a moron because you're so arrogent. Think about everything simplistically.

Will you quit deleting posts and making it look like I'm double posting?

That was not aimed at woodie man BTW

Hey, CJD, might be a good idea to approve some of the posts on this topic. Right now it looks like you've triple posted.

I wasn't citing that quote and I don't think the others were either. I completely agree with that, as I hated to get points off because other people had been making GG coasters... look at my (or anyone else's)layout and how the overall design is different, without considering what other people are doing. There are only so many styles in NL, and there are bound to be multiple rides of the more popular styles, but track designs can always be original or excel in adrenaline as you said.

edit- Wow it's tough to follow this thread with posts randomly popping up after being moderated lol. I didn't realize your last post was in reference to what ckmwm just said, since it wasn't moderated and therefore wasn't in this thread as of when I wrote my post. I deleted the second paragraph because of that.

^Yeah, that reply I made wasn't directed at your post... I just forgot that I had to approve the posts in order to let people see them. That reply was aimed at Coasterkid...

All right, enough is enough. We've argued plenty already. I'm sorry I ever started this topic, but I'm sure you can imagine that I was a little bit upset after reading the rating. Anyway, fine, keep your opinions coasterkid. If you think I'm a complete arrogant jerk, that's your opinion. I'm just really tired of having everything I say about my coasters interpreted as a pompopus remark, and turned into a flame by you, coasterkid.

Anyway, the overrate that was on the coaster has been deleted, and Coasterkid's remark, no matter how rude, is staying. Sorry that you all had to watch this, and the topic is now locked.
