Hey guys!
I just finished my new coaster called "Desperado"
It is a 52m tall GG Woody standing in a desert.

It'll be released on Sunday.

Comments appreciated!

The layout looks pretty cool man ... but watch that lateral supporting. It had better be something more than just connecting a few pieces, because this banking is gonna need a little more than that:

You are gonna need some cross bars in there to really reinforce it, especially with the height you are at and supposed lats this is going to push -- just gravity alone is gonna wear and tear this without some serious steel behind it.

I would certainly agree with TCon. It might be a good idea to build the supports outward one more unit from the track. Then also build them up and you should be pretty good.

The ride looks pretty interesting and looks like it has some pretty fun parts to it, but I think the environment looks pretty bad. Everything is so monotone and there seems to be no life to it.

Just an idea, but why try not just use something like that picture as a skybox as well? IMO that could really add to the feel and authenticity of the surroundings.

Yeah, that was my first thought as well. Hansixx has a perfect skybox for that style of environment.

Added some pics:

I agree that the old skybox didn't fit very well, so I made a new one, which isn't final yet but already better.
Also I tried to make the desert look more interesting and built some rocks.

comments appreciated!

The rocks add quite a bit, and make the scene look much less empty. A few smaller rocks scattered around the rock formations might be nice, too. And there's some surprising track interaction in there too. I'd be great if you could do similar things like this: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/i14012 all the way throughout, like some dives through tunnels in the rocks, and other near-misses.

Why is there a waterfall on the middle of a rock, in the dryest place on the planet.... lol, just playin man. I really like the look of the waterfall, but it still rises questions.

Heya!

The ride is finally up:

I worked on the skybox and the rocks all day, and tried to make it look like you suggested. I also added some more rocks and a dive through a big rock formation right after the first drop!

Have fun and enjoy your ride!

Thanks to everyone who posted and helped me with his comments [^]
