lol @ ECG. You have an interesting view on intensity. A footchopper is the same as brute force?

Plus, Mamba isnt really a marketplace. Its a village. Plus, there are WAY more close calls in Mamba than in Nemesis. They are both terrain coasters but in unique ways.

I personally think Mamba's close calls will be a far better experience than Nemesis just because the blood and visuals arent as impressive and dont really "get me". They look good while standing still but when riding most of its just a blur. Ill be most impressed by the rock walls than the fake blood.

Im just waiting for more VIDEO and less PICTURE from Mamba. I really want to see a nice POV from this thing. Someones gotta do one...

Wow, this looks awesome. Forceless or not, compared to Nemesis or not, this looks like a really fun ride!

I know its a lot bigger compared to this, but its too bad that IOA didn't do this kind of theming with dueling dragons in the actual ride area.

Seems like everybody describes Black Mamba as being close to perfect, except some British people. Maybe because it rivals 'their' Nemesis? Well, Nemesis was my favourite coaster up to now, but it looks like Black Mamba gives it a run for his money. But hey, both coasters have their good points; Nemesis is build on a hilly terrain, and can't go over the treetops, so the layout HAS to be unique.
As Black Mamba isn't build on a hilly terrain, Phantasialand could choose the best element sequencing, Talon's (Loop, 0-G, Immelman). And afterwards, the terrain was build to fit the coaster. PHL could build "as high as they want", so BM has a better feeling of height than Nemmy..

ps what codecs are required to play the POV video.

The ride itself is shorter than its British brother/sister, but more intense. While Nemesis has some short breaks, like the turn between 0-G and loop, and the next turn, Black Mamba will never slow down until the final brakes.

The theming looks like a market place? Nice market places you have there in the UK! The theming on this ride really beats anything else in Europe, even the most beatiful market places.. [sillyme]

Call me a Black Mamba lover, but not a Nemesis-hater, I still like that ride a hell of a lot.

(and pls, stop calling Black Mamba's environment a damn jungle.. It's just an african village, and yes, there ARE such high buildings in those villages)

I made a comment about how I thought it looked this has nothing to do with me been English or Nemmie and when I said market place I was thinking more of a Bazaar (think Indiana Jones). I will judge which I feel is the better ride once I have ridden it.

The rise is totally awsome and amazing.
But it is not true, that BM is shorter than Nemesis.
Nemesis is 692 meters long, BM up to 800 meters!!!
Anyway, thats not the point. Fact is, both coasters are great, but Mamba is something like "flying", far to Montu.
Very, great ride, finally one of the best Inverts!!!

I tested the ride yesterday.
I loved the theming. The buildings and water falls are VERY close to the track. The layout is just a mess of track, so I do not know yet the exact layout of Black Mamba.

Its a very cool ride, but not my all time favorite. Black Mamba is my favorite inverter anyway.

I have ridden it and I enjoyed Black Mamba a lot. The best terrain B&M inverted coaster in Europe.
