Well WWS is in the air and on his way. I will be leaving in a few hours to pick him up at the airport. Since we have a couple of hours to kill before our flight to Cleveland, I will be taking him to downtown Chicago. We will get lunch and see a few sights before we head back to the airport and off to our first stop Cedar Point. Can't wait to see all of you at The Point tomorrow!!!!

Nope...SF Great America is on Monday, June 5th -- SF St Louis is on Tuesday, June 6th

We most likely will meet just inside the park on the right side by Guest Services/Relations.

P/S Only 2 1/2 hrs til WWS is in Chicago!!!

Well, I have bad news. I am going to have to miss a significant part of the meet-up. CP has bent me over backwards once again. I am scheduled for patio duty tomorrow morning from 7am to 8am, and they are also making me do a 12-4 shift in the employee cafeteria.

I'm really sick of this. I have had to stay past my scheduled hours 3 times already this week, and now this. I'll still be with the meet-up from 9am to 11am, and from 4pm to close. Still, I'm pissed. I was sceduled for 60 hours this week, but I will have worked 72 if the rest of the week plays out as sceduled. I'm going to be completely sick by the time Wednesday rolls around and I finally get some relief by taking a whole day off to go to Holiday World.

See you all tomorrow morning...
And if anyone is attending CoasterMania, stop by Pretzel Gourmet from 7am to 7:30am to see me working my arse off to do patio duty.

Wow. Im glad I wont be there the whole day...CoasterMania SUCKS because the park just starts to get packed this time of year then you add a bajillion enthusiasts and its a line nightmare. Hopefully some of the better rides (Raptor comes to mind) wont be a huge wait.

GAh!!! I hate CM...lol

Real, the crowd wasn't all that bad, early on the lines were alittle long, but later in the afternoon and evening, most of the rides had very short waits and even some walk on's. Waited 10 minutes for Skyhawk, Waited only an hour for Dragster, and when M-force did open, only waited an hour for that too. Overall, it was a great day. Wish I could of hung out with the guys longer, but my lady friend was being a pain.. grrr.. (Knew i should of went by myself..lol)

The CP day was a ton of fun. Wish I coulda gone to more parks with you guys but they dont exactly let me have more than one day off a week :(

The good news though was that the big MF finally opened although the lift was at 2/3 the speed. BTW they got it fixed back to normal now!

It was great to meet some of you guys in person. We need to do it again sometime.

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone who could make it to the Mid-West Coaster Meet-up. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. I look forward to see you again.

Now on to a brief event summary?????????

Day 1: Chicago
WWS arrived in Chicago. We has some time to kill before our flight to Cleveland so we went to Navy Pier in downtown Chicago and grabbed a bite to eat and see the sites for a bit before we had to get back to the airport for our flight.

Day 2: Cedar Point
Well as always with Coaster Mania?????????one of the morning ERT rides was down (Millennium Force). They said they were doing there best to get it up and running for the evening ERT but could make no promises. They did get MF running late in the day and it was running a bit slow due to the slower lift speed. TTD was running well that day! The lines were fairly short for the day so we had no problems riding everything. It did rain a bit but not too bad so all in all it was a good day. My favorite rides here are MF, Magnum, Raptor, MaxAir and Blue Streak

Day 3: Geauga Lake
The park was absolutely dead. By noon we had rode every coaster at least twice skipping the boomerang. We rode Villain only once since it was running very rough at the bottom of the hills after the lift. The only bad thing that happened was I lost my cell on X flight. I did get it back at the end of the ERT at midnight. I give high marks to my Motorola RAZR. It survived the 30 foot drop into the grass area under the last barrel roll and rain. My favorite coasters here are Dominator, Steel Venom and Big Dipper.

Day 4: Kennywood
Well it rained pretty heavy in the morning here too but it did clear up. Even so it was a good day at the park. The crowd was fairly light and the longest line was for Exterminator. All the coasters were running well and the Jack Rabbit still has the best air (can you say standing) time on the double down of any coaster. It has been a few years since my last visit and the have added a few ride (S&S swing and a Huss Top Spin) and removed one of my childhood favorites the Bayern Curve. We left the park a bit early so we could get back to OH and get some needed rest before our early AM flight back to Chicago. My favorite coasters here are the Jack Rabbit, Phantom?????????s Revenge and Thunderbolt.

Day 5: SF Great America
Not a bad day. The park was a bit crowded but not bad. We hit all of the operating coasters with little problem. No rain for the first time and it was a bit hot and humid. As usual Deja Snooze was down all day as usual as well as quite a few other rides. They were only running the blue train on the American Eagle and it is back to being forward. The longest lines were for Superman, Ragin????????? Cajun and Raging Bull, about 20 minutes. My favorite coasters here are Raging Bull, Superman and Viper.

Day 6: SF St. Louis
Another fine but hot day at the park. This was my first time here and it is not a bad park except for the food prices?????????they make Cedar Point look cheap. The Boss was running well in the morning and has age beautifully. My only complaint other than the food prices was the typical problem of SF parks with rides going down. The Boss, Ninja, Screaming Eagle and Superman Drop tower we all down for a portion of the day. My favorite coasters here are The Boss, Screaming Eagle and Batman.

Day 7: Holiday World
Yet another great, hot day with rain and a thunderstorm. I can not say enough good things about the park other than everyone MUST see it for themselves. This is the way all parks should be run. The Raven was down a good portion of the day but when it was running is was kickin????????? butt. The legend was running a bit slow in the morning but was back to normal by mid-day. Well now onto the review everyone wants to know about?????????The Voyage. Well what can I say except this coaster KICKS ASS!!! The speed, the laterals, the air, is just perfect on this ride. This is what a woody should be. The ride in the front and the back are like two totally different rides. They are nothing alike. There are no words, ride POV, ect. that can do this ride justice. It is the definitive wooden coaster that sets a new standard that will be hard to beat. I will say it again THIS RIDE KICKS ASS!!! My favorite coasters here?????????All of them!

Day 8:
Dropped off WWS at the airport for his flight home and off to my house for some well deserved rest and sleep.
If you are going to make a scene, be seen.
