you don't know how much he is going to include, or perhaps there are other thing to do than that can be shown in updates, so you never know, we'll know when he's ready as soon as it comes out

I dunno, when I dream of flyers, I generally think of the B&M flyers. I didn't think I would be dissappointed with the unveiling of thier new train, but some how, they did me in. Oh well, I'm still crossing my fingers.[:D]

I was hoping for B&M flyers too. Maybe it's just that because B&M flyers get four or five times the hyper of Vekoma flyers. What I also notice is that when people build coasters, the number of Arrows and Vekomas is far outnumbered by B&M's.

B&M's are looking quite likely IMO. Since we now know that they can make flyers, it shouldn't be too hard for them to use a similar model to make B&M trains. Basically all that needs to be done is invert the track, and remodel the trains. Although it's probably much harder than that, and there's probably some complications I haven't thought of.

Nice, I wonder if they will update the stations to have loading and unloading platforms with the new style

The vekoma flyer cars dont look that much different to the B&m one's.

Just look at Air on www.rcdb.com and then search for x flight

Air- B& M
X-flight- Vekoma

The vekoma trains have that Front piece on them and the B & M don't, please someone tell me whats wrong with Vekoma, look at hyyyper he's happy for vekoma. I am too.

^nothing is wrong with them, vekoma's have a bad rep because of all the things they had wrong with them in terms of reliability (which B&M's have had similar and as frequent issues on some of their flyers). I've ridden a version of both styles and, issues regarding reliability aside, the riding experience on a vekoma is no more or less comfortable or enjoyable than a B&M. B&M's obviously have the better layouts to make it more popular (not to mention the braking and load/unload procedures are a bit easier on you).

I myself am quite excited for em. I have a tough love for Batwing (dam faulty computers, but ohh sweet ride) and to be able to manipulate it would be pretty cool.

I'm hopin Ole adds an option in the editor for flyers that lets you flip the view so you don't have to edit upside down in certain areas.

What do you mean about an alternative view for editing, SMer?

He means maybe they could add an option to flip the view in which you ride through the track in 3d view. So you dont need to edit something like the bottom of a pretzl for example, while upside down... Does that help?

kinda hard to explain. say you're building a flyer and the view is set to let you view it like an invert. well, what happens when you're trying to see if a right side up section is smooth or not (or maybe you're like me and editing in in 3d view is easier sometimes)? you'll want to be able to view that when you're not upside down because, frankly, its easier, hence being able flip the view.

-Edit-

forgot to mention that it is for 3d view when you're moving along the track in the editor.

Isnt that the same for editing while inverted on any other coaster?

Ive never seen or had a problem with that. Its all the same.

EDIT-

Actually, while in the prone position it would be like editing a normal invert. Then, when "inverted" (flying position) it would be like editing a normal sitdown.

Hows that any different than before?

it might make it easier..... but I was thinking it would be cool if you could rotate yourself in the overhead and side views. So that way you aren't stuck at the one view... obviously you could set yourself back to the original position like in Google Earth, but the options there.

OK, maybe I'm in the minority here, but I *MUCH* prefer the Vekoma flyers to the B&Ms. Batwing was IMHO much more intense and interesting than Superman Flight. OK, the overhead pretzel loop was cool, but after that, just some zig-zags and big turns. Yawn. Vekoma's layout was tighter, faster, had more variation, and nothing on the B&M was quite so cool as going up the lift on your back, then rolling over and diving toward the ground. Freakin SWEET!

I did finally ride "air" at Alton Towers last fall and liked it a lot. Even so, I still prefer the Vekoma layout and flippy trains.
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

Tatsu owns all flyers though. Dont compare the Vekoma Flyers to the SUF clones...Tatsu is the new comparison.

Actually, itll be like designing an Invert all the time - just the horizon changes.

I still dont see the difficulty.
