On saturday, I went to Alton Towers with the ladyfriend, not much of a trip report, as much as just a photo gallery. Most people know what Alton Towers is about by now, so I can't be bothered with a whole trip report. One thing I will so though, is it was rather busy and I can only expect it to get busier from here on in, so for anyone going in between now and september, good luck! [lol]

now for the pictures:

It gets unoriginal, taking pictures of the rides from the queue, so I thought I'd take a picture of the queue, from the ride [:D] I know that there is queue enthusiasts out there [;)]

That's pretty much it, apart from this one thing that I noticed...

Does anyone know what the hell is going on with this Tie on Nemesis's loop? I can't say I've ever noticed it before and I couldn't see any other ties like it anywhere else on the ride:

looks like the part that connects it to the rail on the left is missing, and there is two empty bolt holes [confused] I doubt it's anyhting wrong, obviously, but it just looks weird

it looks like that there is a continuase (cnt spell) piece of track there only on the left side though not on the right or they have wellded it then grounded it smoth. I live about 1 min away from the towers and have heared rumers of a bit of rail brake half way up the loop and the train crashing in to the rocks in front luckily there was only dummies on the train that is what i have heared and way. I have to say allot ov people diss the towers but i think there is not one ride that does not have its own charicter and personality. (if that is possible) I love the rides there especially air.

i dout the rail broke and sent the train into the rocks but there was a report a few years ago that the track did rupture and a piece of the track cracked and had to be replaced. this did cause the train to vally but the track was replaced. it was never reported where the track ruptured but i think you found the spot gouldy

if you're going to AT, I doubt you're going to like it, anyone who is not a total retard (in this country) knows that you're not to go to AT during the summer, there being absolutely no point, it being the most expensive time of year to get in and the likelyhood of you only getting on 3 rides [lol]. But if that is when you are coming, then don't avoid going to AT, it's just the very worst time of year to go is all. Plus it's too hot [:(]
heh heh.

October is the best time to go. Seasons nearly over and the weather is pretty good, not hot and humid, dry and a little cold.
And nobody seems to go[:)].
