Well let's just say the coaster I started months ago has been shelved. I've decided that since most people here do not have URDC I am going to convert my most popular URDC coasters to No Limits coasters. The first P_G Enterprises construction for No Limits will be Elixir (http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... p?tid=4170).

Elixir URDC version was a Realistic coaster with a beautiful landscape setting. I plan to make the No Limits version better than the original. It will be a wooden two seat coaster. I'm thinking about having more than one train run on this track; the original had three trains running if memory serves me correctly. No screenshots worth posting from the NL construction yet, the coaster is in its amoeba stages. But I promise to post at least a weekly update on my progress. In the meantime, here is an overhead shot of the original URDC coaster to give you an idea of what the NL version will look like once it is completed:

*NOTE - The NL version will not have a flat ground. It will be terraformed.

That layout looks like it would be very square for an NL coaster, I hope the final version will have a more flowing layout.

^since it'll be one of her first NL coaster, a square coaster is not such a bad idea, and perhaps, with terrain, you might not even notice it

LOL, you guys. [lol] I'm going to create it by hand in NL, I wish there was a way to import my URDC version but I don't think there is. I'm finding the Coaster calculator to be very useful, especially when figuring out the appropriate lengths and such. I will try my best, that's all I can promise. I'm going to try and make it a little rounder in the turns, URDC as you may know is not as technical as NL so there is only so much you can do with the track. I'm sure you guys will give me lots of pointers on it, and I'm expecting that. [;)]

Especially when you have to ask people how to do almost everything...

Please hyyyper, use a hyper link man. [ url="insertlinkhere" ]text here[ /url ] without those spaces of course.

Well I want to keep the g-forces in the 3.0-4.0 range for the highest g's. I think that is pretty intense for a wooden coaster, no?

Well I have finally added some pictures of this coaster to my No Limits Dev Center page, if you're interested you can check it out here - http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p2097 . So far I like how it is coming along. This is fun.[:)]

Here is one more picture of the coaster in progress. I added auto supports just to see what it will look like once it is finished. That's not the final support structure, but you get the idea. I'm also adding this picture to my NLDC project page.[:)]

It's pretty interesting. This is not really a recreation because I've change the layout somewhat. That's why I added the "No Limits Edition" to it instead of just calling it Elixir because the two coasters are related but different. I don't try to make recreations be they real or my own, they are too hard and they are often scrutinized more.

sorry to say, but this coaster looks really shallow coaster, there are no steep sections and from the pics it looks like it'll be boring because of the huge size of the coaster.

Well you are entitled to your opinion Hyyper and I'm not going to knock you for it. I think I'm doing pretty good seeing that it is my first real attempt at making a No Limits coaster. I don't make any of my coasters for approval, I just make them because I like to and I like to share my creations. It's pretty simple with me. I prefer longer coasters, using at least an eight car train. That's what I like and that's what I build mostly.

what did i said wrong?, i can only judge from the pics, i know you want to finish this coaster and that's really fine to me, but what's wrong with comments? i'm not saying you have to change the coaster, but it's something to have in mind when building a next one

for so far I can see the track it doesn't look that bad. Even though it has pretty big transitions. Just wondering, can the train complete the whole cource? Since some stuff looks pretty big, what could result in too much speed loss. And that might follow up with hills at 10mph speed or even a rollback.

A few more pictures would be nice to see. [:)]

I think what hyyyper meant was not only the actual lenght, but that some sections just seem too streched out, no offense. Have a look at the turnaround after the first drop, for example. It's huge, and unless I'm totally wrong it won't pull high g's and take some time to complete the turn... making the first drop go closer to the ground, and then tighten up the following turn for example, might help the adrenaline factor. But as hyyyper said, no need to do this now, we can get more specific on commenting / rating the coaster. The overall thing looks quite good though.

Sorry if my reply seemed harsh, it wasn't intended that way. I don't mind getting negative or positive comments as I welcome them all. I was just explaining how I feel towards sharing my rides. No harsh feelings?[:)]

And TConwell, thank you. I would be honored if you were to test my coaster. I am accustomed to using URDC so realism is something I can only really achieve in the G-forces. I am sure there are some things I am missing and I am willing to learn.[;)]

One question though guys, I am building this with an 8 car train, so I figured that the tracked needed to be lengthened in some areas because of the speed and the train. The g's were quite high before I changed it. Isn't that the best thing to do?
