It wont compare. Its not as round in its parabola as Hydra. Silver Bullet somewhat started this trend with the Zero G's being flat and more round (check out Patriot - same thing). SKC's I would think is one of the better old ones but so would Superman in Madrid.

Hydras has no laterals too. You float up into your restraint - spin 360 and sit right back down in the craziest display of a Zero G.

Naw, I think Tatsu's is the best as far as 0 g goes, simply because it has true weightlessness in it. Only problem is its taken at like 20 mph so there's no real sensation of speed, just some really good feelings in your gut. But my friend used to think that Kraken had the best 0 g roll ever, if there ever was one. He said it felt like Tatsu's, only 5 times better, and it had speed through it. Well, when I went with the same person to florida a couple of month's a go, I completely thought he was full of it. There was one or 2 times in the middle seat where I would get "negative gravity" like on the hulk where its actually that there's more gravity pulling you down towards the ground as appose to w/e acrobat your doing, but none the less, it was fun, but ordinary feeling.
Anyways, silver bullet's 0 g roll is ok, nothing impressive, felt ordinary as well. Although I will say that it is probabably one of the most consistant 0 g roll I've ever felt, forcewise, you get the weightlessness, but you don't really get the feeling which is kind of lame, imo. My favorite 0 g rolls are actually the one's with the lateral snap like Kumba and Montu. Actually, Monto has my favorite 0 g roll, and its my favorite part of the whole ride. But thats just my own personal opinions. Feel free to chew on them, or spit it back out, just don't spit it back on me.[;)]

Also to contine the debate of Kraken....
I think it is an ordinary floorless with so much potential that was never used. However I think the blend of elements used, and the forces make it my second favorite coaster of all behind Kumba. I rode this thing 21 times in one day, and I can that this is one of the few coasters that you can marathon and never get sick of. It really has a good blend of weightlessness and forcelessness. (They had potential for excellence but they crapped that up with thier 0 air time hill before the turn into the corkscrew and that boring thing that stretches from the wingover into the skid run (my new unofficial name for the slow down brake run). Anyways, the first half feels pretty similar to medusa west, good floater in the back seat, although slightly better, loop, some weightlessness at the top, come plowing down the exit of it into the diveloop, then into the disorienting 0 g roll and into what is the highlight of the ride for me.... the Cobra Roll turn around combo. What I really like about this is the speed through it all, although it doesn't have that snap like what the inverts do, it feels pretty much like Kumba's except since your legs are dangling with no floor, your legs tingle from all that extra blood (a sensation you don't get on the old sit down trains [:(]) but that turn around is really just the topper, you get some sweet tunnel vision with the added bonus of the turn and then you get a nice relief in the pullout of the turn into the brake run, I mean it comes right at the perfect moment... not to late and not too soon. But what really impressed me is that for being built in 2000, it had really good intensity in it, especially seeing as how that was sort of the new age for B&M where they began to started using larger leadins into thier elements then what they had previously. I guess its because it was made by an Anhieser-Busch park, and they still haven't made a ride that wasn't intense. Even look at shiekra, 2005. All of its siblings manufactured for the same year were tame in comparision. But back to kraken, after the MCBR, you fly into a loop in a trench. Whats really cool about this loop is that it pulls about 3.5 - 4 g's sustained the whole way through, talk about numb feet, then you go into the crappy hill which delivers no air.... at all! I really wish it did something, even if it was just like DD:Fire where you slightly floated out of your seat, anything would have been fine, but instead you get basically nothing. After that bit of nothing you go into the turn around/tunnel into the wingover where you pull some pretty good g's, far right side gets a very good hand chopper, and far left gets a splash of water, then you go into one of the better wingovers into another thing of nothing. (what they should of done is had one last pop of air or had a helix around the loop into the brake run)
But none the less, even with those to bad parts of the ride, it is still overall one of the best loopers out there, and I think if your ever in Florida its worth that admission to sea world just for that. And that's my opinion on kraken. You may chew that as well.

MegaZeph at SFNO was severely underrated. It's my #1 woodie out of more than 100.
Skyliner at Lakemont has the scariest back seat drop anywhere. You just KNOW that you're going to be thrown into the next state...
Raven kicks Legend's butt in every way.
Knoebel's Twister gets overshadowed by Phoenix, but I like Twister better.
As for steelies, PCanada's Wonderland's Vortex is the finest suspended coaster on earth.
And vekoma? Their woodies are pretty good, but the steelies mostly SUCK. Sure, they built more than anyone. Maybe because they don't spend the time to do them WELL???
Superman at SFB might be a 'clone' of RockNRoller Coaster, but it's a MUCH different ride. I'm still surprised at how smooth RnRC is, because the Superman beat the crap out of me.
The only Vekomas worth riding these days are BOTH at WDW: RnRC and Everest
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

I highly doubt the trim brake on Mantis makes the difference between a comfortable loop and airtime opportunity and death ... it's unnecessary and even to the typical rider, hearing the sound and feeling the slight deceleration is really a pace killer ... and it's the first drop.

Maybe no one's been on it (I know I haven't ridden it in years), but Le Monstre at La Ronde is a really great woodie. Really.

Really....i thought Le Monstre was not great. I thought it was average, maybe less. Pretty boring, and the first drop was poop...it didn't even go nearly half way down. Arg, i just didnt enjoy it that much, but thats my opinion.

But i reaaaaaally think that the Cobra at La Ronde is so overrated!! Honestly, thats the only coaster i wanted to actually get off of. One of the slowest and most boring coasters.

The Ultimate is seriously under rated! Its one of the wierdest and funny coasters I've ridden.

AND the incredible Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Paris! A severly underrated coaster, maybe because people think it's very similar to the other BTM's and BTMR's, but after what I've read about those, the paris version is a LOT better. Another good vekoma is Colorado Adventure, and there are some more I haven't ridden that have a good reputation: Vogel Rok, and Megablitz, for example. I also like their Corkscrew with Bayerncurve and the SLC stock layouts.

I'm not going to exactly say this is under-rated (in my opinioin), but a lot of people complain about Alpengeist. People at the park are always like, its too rough, or you dont get any airtime like Apollos Chariot. Its got its points of intensity (most of the ride), but thats how B&M inverts are. its still my favorite ride and will always be, maybe.

I think Vekoma have some good ideas. Gravity Max looks awesome but it seems so overlooked, and I really don't see why no other parks have built one, maybe it has reliability problems or something?

And I agree that the Ultimate is underrated. It is essentially an attrocious ride but it has the bit after the second lift hill where it goes MENTAL. Plus I do like its proximity to the ground. It has intense lats which aren't usually found on steelies (that I can think of)...

Air at Alton Towers seems to be very underrated. What a beautiful coaster.

I believe that joker's jink at SFA is very underrated. Its launch was very thrilling and it was also really smooth. I would also have to say roar, also at SFA, is also underrated. it was a nice coaster. PrettIt was preety intense.

Cyclone at SFOG is underrated IMO because if you sit in the front of car, not train, it is much smoother appose to the back and you get some pretty good air. The Georgia Scorcher is also underrated. That is a very good ride that is full of pretty good air(in front or back).

I know of a coaster that is not really Under Rated, but overlooked. It looks to be an awesome ride, but it is never really mentioned anywhere. It's one of my Coasterdraft Picks though, so i'm not gonna say it.

When I was at the Tatsu commercial shoot, one of the camera crew guys was talking about how he liked air better then Tatsu, simply because its so graceful. I can see how the gracefullness, and the interaction with its area would make it a good ride, but better than Tatsu? That guy must have been a [r].[lol]

Even though Air is underrated, I believe it is not as good as Tatsu. Tatsu is more...Extreme, and big and fast. And exciting. Air is graceful, like you, and that weird guy said. =P

I am just saying it's underrated because it is. Tatsu is not by any means underrated. It's given the right amount of love. :D

the most underrated woodie, in terms of airtime, is tornado at adventureland. the problem is no one ever goes to the park, its always empty and dead, and i bet none of you know what town it is in without looking it up on rcdb. if you dont staple, and leave an extra 3 inches between you and the lap bar, at all of the hills except two, you will get slammed into that bar. it is one coaster if you are skinny enough, and you dont staple, there is a moderate chance you could literally get ejected from the ride, the airtime on this thing is that powerful.
