Ditto. Just upgraded to a Nvidia 7600 GT OC. I lost my old one to a storm and didnt have the luxury of time to go online and get a better card for cheaper. So I got what Best Buy had. It sure was better than my older 6 Series card so Im happy.

Oblivion is now BEAUTIFUL.

The 7600 is definatly a great buy, I got mine during a lil' system upgrade. Needless to say 5700 to 7600 is quite a difference.

^The 7900GT pwns the 7600GT for like $75 more [:-/], yet the 7600GT is still really solid, hopefully your running it at 500/1500 Real right?

Its at 580 / 1450. I dont think the extra 50 will improve much.

And yes. I could have waited and gotten the 7900GT but as I said, waiting wasnt exactly an option and getting the 7900GT retail from a store is rare.

*cough* newegg.com *cough*

I hope you didn't pay more than $175 [;)]

Those are nice clocks too, and actually I don't think your Dell XPS would of had a strong enough PSU for the 7900GT, it may of just been a little to short on power.

Nevertheless, a strong card!

Hey guys I got a card in January. An ATI Stealth Diamond S850... Should I get a new one or will this handle the update fine?

I paid 250. Considering I needed the card ASAP (as in NEXT DAY no later) I probably would have shelled out 50+ in shipping. Why did I need that soon? Photography projects for a client + bills and such I pay online.

And yea, had I gotten it and then found out my PSU wasnt powerful enough...would have been pissed. It works well and I can play Oblivion nearly maxed out which is an achievement by itself.

same here. I think after the Radeon X series and GeForce 6 series came out, there's been a new standard for graphics in a lotta games, and NL isn't quite there yet.

Ack, I'm still stuck on a radeon 9600pro 256mb, but I don't have a PCI-e slot so there's not that much I can do to upgrade.

We are currently even further in graphics with the Radeon X1 series and the Geforce 7 series [;)]. Also, No Limits is awesome where it is now because it can be run on even a real crappy computer without the simulator running or looking like crap. On the other hand, I can max out every detail, including AA, and my 7900GT holds out at around 30 FPS on some of the heaviest files! So I think that currently it's pretty versatile, and when 1.6 is released, that will probably increase the graphical demand slightly, as did 1.5.

I'm running No Limits on a Powerbook G4 (1.0Ghz, 1Gb RAM, Radeon 64Mb 9600 (400/300), and I can run it at my normal resolution with everything on high (except for AA and some reflections and such) and get steady performance, so that Radeon 9600 256Mb must get better performance, I'd think. Try OCing the card too, that always helps.

It's not a gfx card, but a cheap card emulator built into the motherboard.

To overclocking, I'm not real good with that stuff and don't want anything to happen. Do you need the omega drivers to OC it? I could really use that for some games. I set my AA to 2x and I use 1024x768, at relatively high settings for NL except for reflections.

thats not what I meant. I'm well aware of the new gpu's that have been released recently, thanks. What I MEANT was that ever since the X series and the 6 series came out, there have been all these new highly detailed games with more detail and better lighting and everything, that they raised the standards for graphical demand. You're not the only one who knows about newegg[;)]

It's real easy, just download any ATI OCing utility, do a google search for one, you can't damage your card unless you did something crazy like OC'd it twice as fast as it should run. You should be able to get at least a 10% OC out of any video card.

For some examples, I think coolbits works with ATI cards, it is supposed to work real well, but I myself don't use it because I've found this integrated Nvidia OCer thing that works with my Window's display settings.

^ You won't see such a "minor" coaster style unless they work with Ole and want the style to be developed in No Limits.

It might be 'Minor' but Goliath and Titan are some of the best Hyper/mega coasters i've ridden...

^ Two coasters ... lol, and I believe it was subcontracted by B&M, as are the majority of their coasters, hence the nearly identical track style and such.

I agree with Brtnboarder, there are much more popular styles than Giovanola megas. Ole even said on the FAQ that the most requested track types are flyers and 4d's.

Actually those two were done by Gio alone.

Your right ... go figure, I pick the two out of 21 or so coasters that they didn't co-contracted [lol]
