UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE![:)]

I think I'm going to have this ready for testing in a few weeks. I'm really proud of this ride, mainly because I never thought I could make a coaster in NL that actually looks good. I made a piece of crap coaster a few years back but I never posted it. Anyway, enough babble. Here are the newest screenies of Elixir - No Limits Edition:

that looks really high, since you have terrain, wouldn't it be better to make the lift hill on a mountain or something, because if it's like 250 feet with those supports to the very bottom, kinda unrealistic

The lift hill is not even 300 feet. It is still within realistic parameters. I know it looks really high, but it isn't as high as you would think.

Remember too though that the snapshots you see are not of the completed ridescape. I intend to do much more. [;)]

Did you make the terrain in the terraformer or the editor?

The editor, it seems to be the easiest for me.

IMO it should be a hyper-coaster

Really? Is it because of the layout?

Zane has a point there, the layout is indeed not like many woodies, but then again it is original, but judging from the height (yes the height again) it perhaps would be better to make it a hyper.

But i'd still love to see you finishing this as a woodie

I am going to keep it as a wooden coaster. Like you said Hyyyper, it is original. I try to push the envelope with my creations. Do something different, you know? I guess that's going to make me the oddball but oh well. Anywho, I am posting this as a Fantasy Realistic, since for the most part it has realistic g-forces but the layout probably could not be done in reality.

Well I've been kind of bad with not posting any updates on this; I will try to have some new pics posted by the end of this week.

Alright, here we go. I didn't like where I was going with the terraforming at first so I started over in that regard. The land looks much smoother now methinks. Everything has been done by hand so far.[approve]

It looks cool so far. The supports could DEFINITELY use some fanning and reassurance, though.

I really would like to use the wider supports because I think it will look better but I am afraid of the framerate loss. Not sure what I want to do just yet.

Well I widened the supports and used the Support Cleaner and wow, I am totally amazed with the results. I will try to have some new pics posted this Saturday.

Not sure if trackwork is done or anything, but I think some of your transitions look drawn out, so maybe you can improve on that in this ride, or if trackwork is finished, consider that thought on your next one.

Drawn out? Too wide you mean? I did use an 8 car train on this and the speed is kind of high in the turns, so I figured I would widen the turns a bit. Yeah, the track is complete, but I will definitely keep what you said in mind. Thanks for the suggestion. [;)]

Well, I have a little bit more to do with the scenery and then I would like to see what people think. If anyone would like to test my coaster leave your name here. I should be done with the scenery by Sunday and I will email it to you. [:)]
