You also have to keep in mind that people rate differently. Some people, like myself, take points away from a perfect ten, which is what you should be going for in the first place. Others give points upward on good things that they see, starting from 0. Back when C2K was still alive, I started a sticky people could utilize to post rate complaints and such, not so much for mods, but for those who have rated to be given a chance to fully explain themselves. i.e. A bad rate was given and the designer would like a more explained rate, the rater gets another chance to explain him/herself better. This system wasn't fully tested as C2K crashed only about a month after I was promoted as a moderator. Something worth trying though.
