Jut out of respect. ome people viewing/posting in these forums are very young, so we might as well censor since it doesn't hurt anyone.

hmm I have not done any censoring, I'll check the filters to see if they have been modified but yeah foul language really isn't necessary imo

Yep, I censored the words the stop 10 year old kids from using the word. I get annoyed when I see little kids taking smack on the forums for no reason, so I decided than edit every post, I'd just put a word filter on. Only on the 'f' and 's' word though

Or maybe Edge has finally accepted that chuffing Tipper Gore was actully right wanting to censor the entire world.[xx(]

I agree that those chuffing little Shizty kids need to be sheltered from language because we all know that most 12 and 13 years olds have never even heard the words Chuff and Shiz before.

I am rather anamored of having all of my chuffing bad language translated into innocent jibberish. It would be funny to have and old Eddie Murphy concert translated this way. Not sure there would be anything comprehensible left, but it would be funny IMO.

I wonder if the Die Hard tag line would have had the same impact if it said;
"Yippie Ki Yah, Mother Chuffer"

actually, swearing for most kids starts in 5th grade, when they are 10,11, or 12. all 13 year olds have said and heard Chuff and Shiz....unless their parents protect them like no other.

lmao, see the possibilties are endles. Just to clear up, I am not trying to shelter the young Shiz chuffing kids from such words, just stopping the little motherchuffing Shiz head kids using the word thinking it's 'cool'

I acutally am OK with this. As an believer in freedom of speech, part of me wants to tell all the censors to Chuff off and eat Shiz. But the father in me says it's about chuffing time someone tried to clean up all of the Shizty language.

All though profanity can certaily add some real chuffing spice to a conversation, there is always a more intellectual way to add emphasis to a point without the word Chuff.

And for the record, as an Irish Catholic from Boston, I knew about the word Chuff at an early age, but my father had the fear of a serious belt beating in me [xx(], so I didn't really start using the word Chuff until I was 15 or 16. Even then is was in very careful surroundings.

I can't really relate to junior high kids walking around in very public places saying "Chuff this" and "Chuff that" every two seconds. It's hard to keep that kind of thing from small kids and it makes me want to beat the chuffing Shiz out of them for not being considerate of small children. Swearing in front of adults is not as bad as an adult can choose to not pay attention, but a kid gets really chuffing excited when they hear "bad words".

Im 12, and i swear just like every other 12 year old kid on earth. Nobody cares, its completely normal. No need to censor anything really, there arent many people here that are too young to see swear words.

It's not about people too young to see.

I think just tossing off a few common swear words displays a lack of creativity. If you really want to make a point there are better ways.

Here's some help:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/

Or google 'insult generator'
Be sure you're not looking in a mirror before you start pointing fingers.

To be honest, the 12 and 13 year olds saying "im old enough to read the swear words! dont censor them!"

if you were actually mature, you wouldnt give a Chuff if they were censored or not.

Sheesh!

Yeah, I don;t think it's a matter of age either, i think it's just a matter of them being unnecessary.

Of course, one could just simply learn how to articulate themselves by knowing a few more words that could be utilized in a manner appropriate for all audiences.
