How did you get by the storage site. I went there over vacation and a cop told me that this was private property and I had to leave!

No, they of all people would especially never say anything. They just make the rides, they don't say anything about it.[;)]

It's a copyrighted design or something, so you can't acess it or retrieve information about it most likely.

I think it is accelerator or giga coaser. But why cp has both! its got to be somthing different. Also this track has seen used before{wheel tracks on rails}. Maybe for testing. New types of coasters would be subjected to test first.

Intamin paints those wheel tracks on initially for some reason, maybe so the track color doesn't go onto the wheels. Regardless, those are supposed to be there, and I'm sure this ride hasn't been tested.

The only design company that seems to pre-test is Gerstlauer. Their rides are usually compact enough to do this, the CP ride looks too big to test before insallation. Also, Gerstlauer uses a more transportable kind of connection for their supports and track, similar to what Schwarzkopf did.

Why would CP make a regular rocket after TTD? It has to have some twist...

I think it will at least be a hyper because they dont advertise a strata coaster (TTD) as much as they do 4 coasters coasters over 200 ft

About the white stripes in the location where the wheels are on the track are there for the following reason... They are a special kind of paint that helps prevent wear and tear, it is more resistant to the great heat the is generated from the friction. It also provides a better surface than normal paint for the wheel.

Do NOT go to the site mentioned above, unless you want to click your mouse a couple thousand times before being able to exit the web page.

Ok, i strongly believe this is a support for an inversion. It looks like a really low to ground heartline roll or something....and a really low to ground one too. So now im pretty sure this is a looper.

Coasterguy77 - could also be a support where the top bit goes onto the bottom of the track and the lower bit latches onto something else for extra support. I dunno. If it is a looper though, a heartline sounds extremely possible. :)

Let's recap...Kinzel supposedly was planning a HUGE retirement ride that would dwarf everything (although he recently stated he might stay due to aquisition of the paramount parks but the ride would have already been planned by then). Therefore, it's going to be a huge addition to TTD, based on the fact that the track is also red.

Ha, probably not. I do think the ride will be something extraordinary based on the whole Kinzel's "bang" thing, but it seems unlikely that they will go for a speed, especially not height, record, because this ride is already more elaborate than TTD, and if it broke TTD's stats on speed and height, TTD essentially wouldn't have a place in the park (I do think CP would consider this in the interest of diversity). TTD was built for height and speed only, so I doubt they'll take that away from it so soon. Afterall, they're going in a "new direction" where before they advertized the "first over 200+, 300+, 400+" sequence. So, a looper is definitely a strong possibility, I am very certain there will be inversions, if not a record breaking number (10+ shouldn't be hard with the space and ammount of track already spotted), but somehow I have the feeling that there is more.
I haven't completely ruled out the fact of a true intamin 4D or something of that nature...the "Ball" coaster always seemed like a prototypical approach for a system with way more potential...especially when you consider the design of the new wingwalker train, if you put two and two together (I dont think this is necessarily what the sign would refer to though). This all is of course speculation...more of a 'hunch' than a theory.

The aquatrax has some merit because CP is now lacking water-based attractions, but I doubt that's it because I have a hard time imagining a combination of the aquatrax concept of this magnitude with inversions (although it may very well be capable of such). At best, it'll have a few water-based elements, given the location of the ride...I don't think a "conventional" aquatrax would do the whole "big bang" thing justice. I think it's much more likely that we'll see a new family oriented water-ride somewhere else, somewhere in the future.

My money is on the fact that we're all wrong in some ways. Hopefully it'll be a positive surprise.

Nothing too important, but here is a link to the corporation building the coaster. If you click on "commercal", it says Cedar Point Picture coming soon. http://www.adenacorporation.com/
This looks like their first coaster. They also build warehouses, hospitals, schools, stores, ect. I know it's a very longshot, but I e-mailed them asking if they were allowed to give us any statistics for the ride. Likely this won't happen though.
