I think at the top of the lift, there should be wide supports on either side. Do you have any editor pics?

None of the supports are final yet. They were just placed so that you can get the idea of the ride in 3d.

I understand what you are saying, but if you look at El Toro it does not have supports on its outside side.

EDIT: also, lateral bracing will obviously be added.

No, I mean about the 80 degree part. Sorry, I may have exaggerated a LITTLE.

The 80deg part is no big deal. I believe Dcs221's Onslaught had an 80deg drop in it.

Did Jakizle make the track and you make the supports, or vice versa?

I made the station, prelift, 2 hills and turnaround.
Jakizle made the top of the lift, the drop and a hill.

I sent it to him today so he can add some more, but he is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas right now so he won't be working on it till tomorrow i expect.

I had a 77* on that drop in the middle of Onslaught, exactly 1* past El Toro :D lol

The reason I went with that value was to have the steepest drop possible with that height. That maximized my airtime and pullout g's, and also had the great side effect of making the drop steeper than El Toro's. There were several other reasons for having a steep drop like that in the middle of the ride, but those were more related to Onslaught's layout than to the forces.

Anyways, yeah 80* is a perfectly realistic and awesome angle for an Intamin woodie drop. Intamin could have made El Toro's drop steeper without increasing the magnitude of negatives for the back row, and you have extra height to work with, so it's fine.

Your ride as a whole looks like fun, but doesn't look too original so far, and I think you should make sure not to have too many simple transitions, like those that start a turn at the steepest part of a drop. Definately try to switch some stuff up in the next few elements, because otherwise you'll have another slightly changed ripoff of El Toro and Colossos (which is realistic too, just has been done a million times). If you're going for that feel, definately mention in your description that you're trying to make something that you'd really see in a park, and also try not to overdo the layout in length or number of elements, especially with an Intamin since they tend to stick to relatively simple yet thrilling designs, with some exceptions ofcourse.

Dcs, how do you measure the max angle drop of a coaster?

Either AHG it with the end of the track at the steepest point, or make it in Elementary where you can set your own steepness.

I personally was thinking that it was looking a bit too realistic like you said. I am all for realism in tracks, but i made that turnaround today, and although its realistic, its not terribly exciting so it might get changed.

I will see what Jakizle thinks of it when he gets back from 6 Flags.

The hills on the way back will definitely add in some more originality and so will the twister section at the end.

Thanks for the input.

Jakizle can do 3ds. I might learn how to do 3ds because i just got 3dsMax which is the best for doing it.

I can also do standard things in the OC.

If you let me do some 3ds, then send an email to me.
