For those of you who listen to AFI, then you should probably listen to this. This guy wrote his own piano covers to AFI's Miss Murder and Love Like Winter, and Dance Dance by Fallout Boy. This is the link to Miss Murder, but seriously...this guys got skill!!

It's a shame he doesn't write covers for songs that are deserving.

Come on, I just posted it because i thought it was awesome how he covered them so well, and if you dont think the songs he covered are deserving, then just dont watch the videos.

Thats awesome. I love Miss murder by AFI aswell, im thinking of buying their album, as i dont have any AFI. They arent one of the bands i listen too much, but i like most of their stuff i have heard. Thats such an awesome cover aswell! Thanks for posting man! Awesome. E man, what songs would you count as deserving? Probably some crap that doesnt actually mean anything to the person who sings it because they didnt even write it.

*waits for Jaymans comments

To me it sounds more impressive than it actualy is. All he seems to be doing is just playing the main rhythm line of the song whilst also playing the notes of the vocals...not that impressive. He hasn't rearranged the song in any way. If he did a little more than maybe.

This is somewhat more impressive

Didn't mean to set you off Jpe. [:P] I mean he should have done piano covers of songs that can actually be accurately transposed to piano and then contain more complicated technical music. Sorry to say it, but AFI, FoB, etc. all have very simplistic music, which partly explains why all the guy's really doing is playing chords with the vocals intertwined, and then adding the variations of chords. Admittedly he is quite good, but he should have chosen a better song to start from. (Technically speaking, not saying this music is "bad") For example, if he had done a cover of a SOAD song (let's say Hypnotize for the purpose of this), it would have been much more intricate. It would be interesting seeing how he'd accomplish the minor to major affect and the bridge. I would love to see his version of some more complicated (deserving as I put it earlier) songs because those would likely be much more interesting, and naturally more difficult as well.

Or my chemical romance [;)], it would have been more intricate [;)] Ray Toro - musical genius. Im obsessed. [lol] But you listen to some of his guitar solos. Like the start of Thankyou for the venom on the live album, its played much faster than normal, an its just amazing!

Haha, I almost mentioned MCR with FoB and AFI, but then I decided that would be a bad idea, I didn't wanna give you a heart attack or anything. I'm gonna assume Ray Toro is a guitarist from MCR, and on that assumption I will add that he is nothing compared to many of the guitarists in Tech Metal/ Math Rock bands and the like such as Alexi Laiho, Dave Knudson, Michael Romeo, and Fredrik Thordendal. Nor he can he come within a thousand miles of Buckethead (The guy's amazing, if you've never heard of him, check out his stuff, NOW!). [:P] And I'm somewhat justified in saying this, because believe it or not I do listen to some MCR every once in a while. Call it a guilty pleasure.

I remember watching a Clip on Youtube of a person playing different game play songs such as the ones on Super Mario, Tekken, etc. It was way better then this one..

Buckethead has nothing on Michael Angelo Batio or Yngwie Malmsteen...speed wise. But the debate will always rage on through guitarists, that speed guitarists have no soul in thier music. In Yngwie case that may be true, but there is no doubt in my mind that 99% of speed guitarists know the instruments 1000x better than other guitarists. I'm more than cofortable listening to Satriani and Vai. They combine speed with soul and is more impressive to me than just raw speed

Yeah....also MCR guitarist sucks...end of. It's pretty much like saying Kurt Cobain was a good guitarist
