I was just thinking that. Maybe it's a ball coaster or something around those lines. They did say they were going in a new direction after all.

If that transition is taken at high speeds, it looks like it would deliver some airtime, but also be a bit painful...but hey, its still going to be sweet[;)] I cant wait until they announce this thing, and i bet every single one of us was wrong about what it actually is

that transition isn't that heartlined, which would mean that it might be taken at a slow speed, or the train design will be different, i hope the last

only thing is... how would an aquatraxx coaster tie into the theme of those signs..... I dunno maybe its not even supposed to, maybe I'm just too lazy to read 35pg's of mess on this thing

and how would an aquatrax transition be any different from a one on a different type?

Hm, about that strange track, with the plates between the ties.. I was looking for a ball coaster, and guess what I found

Look carefully at the brake(?)fins, same type of track. Now my question; is the ballcoaster the only one with that type of track, or not?

First of all, it's called the edit button. Secondly, Aquatraxx trains are much shorter than those of any other Intamin type, and shorter car lengths often mean quicker transitions.

Why do we stick to old trak designs? I mean maby intamin want to use anothertype of lims on this ride. A ball coaster train can't many cars per train because the cars would be spaced to far from eachtother to work properly.

I think those plates between the ties are probably just Intamin's new way of connecting lims to the track, nothing unique to ball coasters.

Those pics of the ballcoaster were made about 1 year ago. Since then 4 coasters with magnet-fins were constructed, of which none of them had such an attachement of the magnets to the track. Only the ball coaster uses those plates, or maybe an unknown trainstyle which still has to be revealed.

IF these things are indeed LIM's, then this way of launching a 'normal' (read: non-inverted) coaster is new to Intamin. Every non-inverted launched coaster they made is launced by a cable, or LSM. No fins.
So, this can be a Aquatrax (yes, I forgot about this LIM-launched), but since there's only one turn over the water, and CP doesn't theme their rides, they could have better chosen a normal launch coaster. I'm still going for a BallCoaster..

Ball coaster in it's current form doesn't have nearly a high enough capacity for CP, plain and simple. Plus, I've never seen a turn on a ball coaster.

^^ 1) It's LSM.. 2)LSM needs bigger magnetic blocks, you know.. These things are for mounting fins on it.
^ Another fact: the heartline is very low, as you can see. So, the seats must be next to the track.. As far as I know, the only Intamin models having that seat configuration are the Wingwalker and Ballcoaster.

You missed something the lims on the ball coaster are attached to the box track, the track in your picture is the triangle track, I think thie will be a wing rider.

Spelling correctly will help convince people of your opinions. The track coes too close to the ground in spots to be a wing walker.

Would be a nice idea, but why would they use Intamin track instead of their own?

That transition is perfectly heartlined! You just don't see that immediately, cause it's on top of a tiny but still existent hill. [:p]

Well, according to them, it travels at low speeds, which doesnt make any sense with such heavy banking.

I never said it wouldn't be traveling fast. I noticed the banking. I just don't think that transition is consistant with a full length train.

Well... Technically that transition is just as quick as a Zero G roll on a B&M or the inline rolls on Colossus so I think a full length train could go through that perfectly fine.

but zero g rolls are place higher, the train is not going it's fastest at a low altitude
