Alright, I went to Knotts yesterday (July 1), and im going to share my experiences with you.
Got to the park around 11:30, not much of a crowd so things were looking good. We got to ride on each ride at least twice (minus Boomerang... piece of crap). Im feeling pretty lazy, but wanted to post some pics, so here we go...
Silver Bullet: Started the day out on this ride. Even though its one of the new generation Inverts and lacks some intensity, it still is a very plesant ride worth a round or two. The drop is just so lame though... As usual, we got to walk on every time we rode it (about 4 times I think).
Xcelerator: I love this ride, it is a blast. I could ride it all day. The only odd thing was that I managed to pretty much black out for the entire ride all 3 times I rode it. Oh well, it was fun in the dark too.
Montezumas Revenge: Fun
Jaguar: Best ride in the park. I am always impressed by how the ride was designed using Rollercoaster Tycoon.
Sierra Sidewinder: A fun little ride. Is kind of a letdown when you dont get a good spin, but we ended up getting lucky. (To Jay and Bockzilla) Ya, our theory of finding extra large people and having them opposite us on the car turned out to be a great spinning success.
Pony Express: Well well well. The newbie. I have to admit, it really wasnt that great of a ride. The launch was incredibly weak, the layout was boring, and the seats were not very comfortable. I know everyone was pumped off the seats, but truthfully, I did not enjoy them. They were restrictive and uncomforable, but interesting none the less. The little kids around seemed to love the ride though, so I guess it is a good addition to the park. Just have fun dealing with the terrible capacity.
Ghostrider: Great. It felt a little smoother than usual. Just a great ride. Im glad we have at least one good woodie in a Cali park.
So yes, it was a great day. Went on lots of other rides (including a rare ride on Perilous Plunge). Hope you enjoyed my half asses trip report [:D]
Perilous Plunge:
Homie!!!
Awesome shot of the day:
