Made any progress cjd? It's been nearly a week since you last posted anything, and I was just wondering if you'd gotten anywhere in that time.

well this forum kinda died...I hope we get the ratings soon so we can find out who the winner is. all 3 rides ive seen looke pretty good, and i think it will be a tight competition, so I think i speak for everyone when i ask yet again

So cjd, how are those rates comin?

Progress so far: 0.

I haven't even started.

My stand just lost 2 more people, so I have been closing almost every single night. The earliest that the ratings will be done in next Thursday, my day off, and the latest is August 20, the weekend after my contract with CP is over. Sorry for the lack of progress, but I really needed last week's day off to refocus and rest.

BTW, it's not like I am just ditching the ratings and having fun. Even though I am working at Cedar Point, I have not ridden a single roller coaster at the park since the WWS park meetup, a month and a half ago, June 2. That is how bad the situation at work is right now.

wait you're a ride-op? COOL! which ride do you run? I heard theres like some sort of corporate ladder thing to be able to become a ride-op, is that true?

There is probably some type of corporate ladder. I can't imagine a first year on a high capacity ride like Raptor or Magnum.

Nope not at all, anybody can work any ride.

I started on the rating on dcs221's coaster, and thoroughly rode yours and smiley's in order to get an idea of where each ride was, but I haven't made much more significant progress.

Cedar Point is finally starting to quiet down from the torrent of July crowds as school is starting to go back in session across the country, so my stress level will be going back down very quickly. I should be refreshed and refocused this week, so it's looking good for getting them done. If not this week, next week for 100% sure, since my contract is over next Wednesday.

What ever happened to this?

I just got back home today. My contract with CP is finally over, and I expect that I should get back on track and on with my life immediately. Apparently, what I speculated about the park quieting down was false, because my last two weeks were absolute hell. But thankfully, it's all over now. CJD is officially back, and the ratings will thus be completed within the next few days as I finally have some "me" time to sit around and do nothing, not worrying about schedules or money. Ah, it's so good to be back home again!

cjd had plenty of time during the downtime, so guess we'll be waiting a least a week

I'm on it. I have several things to do over the next few days like doing a huge English paper, starting on my Physics project, and enjoying the last weekend of summer playing volleyball in Pennsylvania, but I did make some progress on the ratings before the site crashed so it won't be long now. Give me until next Wednesday, and you'll see 'em.

It's real unprofessional to basically... lie... like you did. I know this is a forum, and there's real life stuff that comes up, but c'mon, a month to rate 3 rides? It's cool of you to do these ratings, but you made a commitment on a site frequented by hundreds of people, and have yet to come through.

Whatever happened to "If not this week, next week for 100% sure, since my contract is over next Wednesday."
