While I was in line for Hydra, I noticed a few weird holes in the track. Does anyone know just what the heck they are? Could they be for trim brakes? P.S. Happy birthday to me [:D]

I think they did that during design,so just incase trims needed to be added they could pop them in realy quick.

Trims are brakes located on the track that are used to slow down the train but not stop it.

But those probably are for the trims. Its a quick and easy way to mount them.

I think they are. if you look at Dominator before the cobra roll there are a set of trims and there is 2 holes

Those holes are put there during fabrication to install brakes or trims. After testing they were probably removed due to not being needed (or never used in the first place), but that is what they are for. As far as Real's re-creation, as soon as you tell me how to add "holes" to the track in the editor, your argument will be valid.

Hope this helps -- and oh, I got two words for you ... ;-)

some 3D circles that were a darker version of the green colour of the , just put on the side of the track, is probably the best you could do, I reckon it'd look pretty crappy heh.

Notice also the small plates of steel welded to the sides and ribs of the track, just above the holes, on to which the mechanism would be pinned [:)]
