I grew up with the simspons, and even tho futurama and family guy are very funny, I don't think they can ever quite match was the simpsons did. American Dad is just the epitemy of pointlessness; the first fall into pointlessness was family guy, and I don't really mind it that much.

Futurama! New FG is just not as good as what season 2 and 3 were, imo, and like said AD is the dumbest thing ever. Simpsons is cool, although I'm quite found of South Park myself....

Family Guy is ROFL laughter. I think its the best show on the lineup.

I cant pick. Some episodes of the Simpsons are SO intelligent that it just owns all. Seasons 5-10 are just golden. After that, Seasons 11-14 were very good and since then its hit or miss. But thats nearly a good decade of GOOD entertainment that is VERY grown up and very intelligent.

Futurama is my tie for #1. I love that show and it too is smart and funny but not as. But Bender and the characters are just...something better about them than Bart, Lisa and the gang.

Family Guy is mostly the humor that cant go on TV or the political satire that other shows wont do. Which, is quite funny but Ive found its slightly one-dimensional, or, maybe bi-dimensional.


American Dad is a waste of time.

South Park is my fav. cartoon. Also I find Family Guy quite funny at the moment. I think the general problem with the simpsons now is that most people have seen every single episode 50 times or more. I mean the show is still great, it's just overplayed by networks. Futurama I also quite like, possibly more so than the Simpsons, and as for American Dad, it's not played too much in the UK and really doesnt appeal to me

Real pretty much summed up my thoughts on those 4 cartoons.

I go for the family Guy, the only two i know are The Simpsons and Family guy

I have to agree with Real, I can't choose between them since they've all got things I love about them (as well as south park).
But I do kinda like American Dad though. I didn't initially like it because the characters just aren't as nice looking as FG but I've found some of it really hilarious.

i choose futurama as it rules even thought i also really like the simpsons. i wish to and jerry was in the list.

well i vote simpsons and here's my reasons
1) family guy is funny and all, but like south park says: its just random interchangeable jokes!!! this is so true. The humor in family guy is more ha-ha funny, but the puns and satire in the simpsons is classic. Anyone who votes family guy over simpsons, their brains are clearly not sophisticated enough to understand and comprehend satire.
2)Futurama got taken off of fox, b/c it wasnt as good as the simpsons. I agree with whoever decided this. Futurama is NOT as good as the Simpsons.
3)American Dad just plain sucks (its like family guy w/o the funny flashbacks and crummier character composition)
4)It takes talent to write the simpsons. I admire those people. There are over 100 puns in any given episode, and one single person could not possibly catch every single pun. The writers of Family guy are......well...manatees!!! lol jk, but seriously, the writers of the other shows are not top notch. They are alright and all, but not anything special.
5)The Simpsons is just classic

Yea i agree 100%!!!! Nothing beats south park IMO. But out of those 4, i'd say the simpsons. Like real said, seasons 5-10 were amazing, but yea...now its nothing great. But i voted Simpsons.

How could you forget King of the Hill from this pole? Granted its not the absolute best show out there, but they had some great episodes.

FG is my first cartoon (dont ask way) and is a 30 min of laughing

lol season 4 of family guy has only 1 funny episode: the one with mel gibson's passion of christ 2

That is the only funny episode from season four...i cannot see how you can laff your whole way through season 4

But anyway...Simpsons pwns.
Family guy is funny and all, but Simpsons is classic satire, whereas Family guy uses flashbacks to make completely random jokes that have nothing to do with anything. The plot in family guy is rarely funny.
