What is with you people trying to name the most un-heard of crappy bands you can. I speak for most here when I say I really couldn't care less about some band that played in some bar once that were kinda good and had some strange sounding genre.

Wow, i would say you american and english ppl are lucky if you don't know it. Hardcore is just crap imo. Even a kiddo from 3 yrs old could make stuff like that.
Dance and trance is allright. It's the way milder version of hardcore. And it has a melody! Something that that monotone hardcore doesn't has. [:D]

none of them are unheard of. all the bands i've listed were popular at one time or another. just because they aren't "mainstream" or popular doesn't mean they played only at bars.

when i think of screaming music i think of gay emo bands like hawthorne heights, and i think of good metalcore bands like job for a cowboy, as i lay dying and whatnot. i like some slipknot and other varieties of metal because the drummers tend to be really good, especially slipknot's. double bass is awesome. but i dont like the lyrics in other metal types. or i should just say some screaming sounds good and other screaming sounds bad. it sounds wierd saying that but its true.

i don't "listen " to techno, i don't like techno... but as someone who collects vintage synthesizers and other related equipment, and use them in my own music i'm pretty sure i can tell the difference between crap and something good. want to hear some of what i call "good " techno google "the orb" also try "808 state" ...still , not my cup of tea, but good nonetheless.
i've never hugged a tree. like i said before i actually repair chainsaws and other motorized equipment for a living. i also own firearms, drive an suv, and eat meat. i hate phish, can't get into reggae, think tye dye is tacky, and to be honest i don't get along well with most "treehuggers"

reminds me of 1991 kinda like "heroin",and a ton of other bands here in san diego i saw at the time but i guess newer and kinda refined..no, trust me, not hardcore.. not really..
i think this is what they mean when they say emo, right? now i get it.
whatever that was, it wasn't hardcore. there were prevalent "hardcore" influences, i suppose, reflecting the influences of their influences...
i liked it.. or should i say i "get" it, because i didn't really like it that much..

Hardcore dance music is its own Genre. Techno is a totaly different style. Techno is a very simple kick with beebs and blips. It comes from Chicago.

there are like 40 different styles of Electronic dance music.

for an example: Cascada (The peice of crap that it is) would be under Commercial Trance.

almost anything Dj Manian produces is crap! The latest thing was Renagade Masterz. They had a song "Crystle Ship". It was a SO bad!

He does however have a few things that i do like... for instance

Marco Juliano - "I wanna be your star"

AHEM.. actually almost true. "acid house", a sound defined by the roland tb 303 "bassline" synthesizer, and it's brother the tr 606, (the source of those blips and bleeps)and sometimes a tr808(aka GOD)definately is credited with being invented in chicago... however the term techno is probabaly more european, in any case chicago house music is the daddy of "techno", but that term wasn't used much untill the early 90's, and by that time it certaily wasn't limited to chicago.
