This is my first major invert. project I've done in awhile. I've already tried one layout and it was just waay too pumpy and full of bad Gs. So I scrapped that layout, which consisted of a 0g-roll, a Loop, and a corkscrew; and now I want to go for a totally different layout. However, I dont even know what inversion to do first. Any suggestions? Also, which name would you prefer, Bonsai or Dust Devil?

I'll have a project page up soon, but right now there isnt enough to make it worth making one.

i would have to agree dustdevil. did you get the name from a vacume cleaner[:D]. and for the first inversion i would go for somthing original, which means dont start with a loop!!

I think it's ITG artists. If that's the case, Bansai = Banzai. If it's not ITG based, then I'm retarded.

lol, yea I got the name from the vacuum [dorkhat]

And actually I was referring the name as Bonsai in relation to Bonsai Trees, an ancient Chinese Art that requires great skill.

For the start inversion I was thinking either a dive loop, an immelman, or something like a batwing...But since its terraformed, I want for the track to jump in & out of the ground alot; but we'll just see where the track runs and if i can pull that off

Go with Dustdevil for sure. My track for round 2 of the match-up contest was called Banzai. For first inversion just dont go with a loop or a corkscrew, and if you do make sure to throw in some quick turns and hills before to make it pretty exciting and different.

First inversion is up, and it's definately a new trick. I was messin around w/ the AHG, tryin to figure out what I could do with what I had. First it gave me this wicked heartline-roll diveloop type thing, but it pulled crazy high Gs so it woudnt work. What I have now is like a swinging diveloop type thing.

it is a very odd inversion but i like it, looks smooth and like it produces alot of airtime.

^lol, why thank you.

I definately think that the inversion creates quite the unique feeling. It feels like some sort of fighter pilot maneuver when you ride it, because you swing to the left, then complete roll back into a dive @ the ground.

Hmm..... (ponders optional military theme)

neither of your names seem fitting for this coaster. I wouldn't give it any name to start off with. THen once you complete your track give it a name based off of the experience or theme that you give it.

Whoa, that has an awkward twist to it, and it dosnt look like a sharp twist and seems to flow nicely, looks great, and nice first drop.
