here's a great video i found by accident parodying death matal.. any one else heard of these guys?who are they really?.. i couldn't stop laughing, they managed to hit every cliche in the book, but it still sounded like they knew what they were doing.. hillarious

they are called Deicide. [xx(] they're alongside the age of Cannibal Corpse (i believe).. but.. yeah.. not as well known. i don't think they're joking, though..

the kids who listen to it are sure gonna feel dumb when they realize a joke is being played on them... thes guys seem to have skills, they couldn't possibly expect to be taken seriously.. my best guess is that it's a side project of some band or other, just to have a little fun at someone elses expense.

uhhh... wait.. i'm freinds with members of cattle decapitation, in fact their last album features my korg poly 800,(which i didn't get back for awhile)and it wasn't the same.. i did'nt like it, but it was more"avant garde' if you will, more like noise.. but this was like "ultra super stunt metal"
wait.. never mind.. they've changed a little.... not like the locusts, they have that stupid "temper tantrum voice' thing more than before..

and by "noise" do you mean Wolf Eyes or Hair Police noise? i haven't listened to them in a while. but a lot of their old stuff was deathmetal hardly avant-garde

and are the members of Cattle Decapitation really vegitarians or do they just say that?

i can't explain.. it was just "noisier'like the locusts.. hell i could have it mixed up.. but i consider the locusts to be "avant garde" (in quotes of course) simply because it doesn't seem to fit any preestablished type of music that i'd heard before..

Yeah, most of those Orlando death metal bands from the early '90s were really bad (bands like Deicide, Cannible Corpse, Obituary and Morbid Angel) and I can't see why anyone liked them so much. The only one of them that I can actually listen to is Death, which is one of my favorite bands of all time. If you watch this you can see how much different they are than all of those bands. How could you say Meshuggah's a rediculous band name. It means crazy in Yiddish....pretty reasonable band name IMO. Not to mention they are some of the most talented musicians I've ever seen, individually and as a group.

worse, they are vegans, the food they bring to parties tastes like crap sometimes. they're total hippies when it comes to that Shiz. i dont know but two of those guys, and i dont think one plays with them anymore.

This is a really funny video if you want to see a spoof of metal.
And yeah e-man, I don't see what's strange about the name Meshuggah, which is another one of my favorite bands. They're very far from what you could call stereotypical metal.

sorry.. im a little ignorant when it comes to new metal bands these days. so i changed it to something that DEFINETLY suites the cause.

i've seen that "Metal by Numbers" video. it's pretty sweet. and he does have a point.

defineately vegan.. veeeerrry vegan. cattle deapitation is to veganism what rage is to socialism.. they do have a sense of humor, albeit a little morbid.. they just released a single a couple of months or so ago and gabe played it for me, he wasn't offended when i laughed.
